I got on the bus thinking today was maybe going to be normal. Or atleast a good one. I didn't get much of those though. Not me. I'm horrendously ugly. Or atleast so I tell myself, but I'm pretty positive that its true.

I sat down by myself and pulled out my book I was currently reading, and my pet dinosour. No not a real one, its the nickname for my old CD player that skips at every bump. Which is really unfortunate for me, because, we go down a country road.

Nobody sits with me on the bus, but I don't care. I hate it when people read over my shoulers, or try to peek at what I'm reading. Yet, my books are ussualy about 400 pages or more, so I don't think any idiots are going to even want to glance at my books.

So for the whole bus ride, I sit by myself, reading my book and listening to Nickleback.

By the time we got there I had read about 40 pages. We middle school and high school goers waited for the bus driver to let us off and we all walked to the high school/middle school on the other side of the lot.

Lucky elementry students, they get dropped off directly at their school. They also get recess, but in the winter time, we get our revenge.

I walked up to my little group of freinds, which consisted of three people; Ally, Lindsey, and Amanda. Were geeks, but we all love eachother.

"Rebecca!",Lindsey waved her arms wildly. She does that everyday so I'm guessing its her little 'hello guesture'.Who knows. Lindsey's the craziest out of all of us. I'm most likely the calmest and most collected one in this little group. Ally is the shyest. She doesn't speak out alot and has anti-social tendecies.Yet she somehow managed to come to our little group. She's a really great listener and advice giver though. Amanda is the most creative. She always has her nose in a notebook or a book. That was her thing. Drawing, writing, or reading.

They're all much prettier then me. Their clothes are beautiful, their hair is beautiful, their nails are beautiful, everything about them is just drop dead goregous.

Ally has pretty long blonde hair to almost her waist and hazel eyes. Lindsey has short dark hair down to her shoulders and diamond blue eyes, and Amanda has luscious black hair down to her sides, and dark green eyes. How I was lucky enough to be with them, I'll never know.

Seriously. I don't know how we managed to become freinds, but I'm really glad we did.

"Whats up?",I smiled and hugged each of them. Amanda pulled out her notebook.                          "What do you think's up?",she flashed a smile and showed me a page full of words.                          "It's a new fanfiction I wrote.",she stated proudly before closing the notebook.                                        "Aww! I want to read it.",I whined teasingly.                                                                                                  "Tsk tsk! Don't pester the author.", an evil expression creeped onto her face."Or else."

I stepped back. You don't want to mess with her, author or not. She was also the strongest and most athletic out of us.

"Hey Becca, did your mom say it was okay for us all to come over on Friday?",Ally asked, averting her attention from the book she was engulfed in.

"Yep. You can all come over.",I replied. We were all pretty lucky. Our moms all worked together at the office in the next town over.We also didn't do much.Plus, we had to be the quietest girls in the school, aside from Lidnesy.

"Squee! We get to all spend the night at Becca's!",she jumped up and down excitedly, rewarding her with a few glances from stander bys.Amanda lightly punched her on the shoulder.                         "Calm down spaz attack. You know what "The Perfects" will do when they see you being atleast a tad bit different from them.",Amanda warned, half jokingly.

"Rip my guts out and eat my flesh?",Lindsey slapped her hands over her own mouth for effect.

It was all a joke. Almost. 'The Perfects' were the preppy divas of  the school. They never did anything wrong, dressed wrong, or said anything wrong. But, everyone else was garbage, except the jocks. They were perfect, we were the circus freaks with some sort of disease.

The bell rang and we all walked to middle school, and to our lockers. Lucky me, I had a locker next to the queen of all 'The Perfects', Lisa.

I stared into my locker getting my stuff for first period as she came up to hers and unlocked it.She ussualy never said anything, but of course, today, she did.

"Seriously, do you try to be ugly?",she made a face at my outfit. I didn't think I looked THAT bad. I was wearing greenish baggy jeans, a purple shirt, and a grey jacket.

"No.",I replied quietly."Well it sure looks like you do." She flipped her hair as she turned around swaying her hips as she walked away.

Rolling my eyes, I slammed my locker and hurried to class. When I sat down and pulled out my assignment book.

As I wrote down my assignments, and put my stuff under my desk and glanced over at the most gorgeous guy in the whole school, Myles.

As soon as I looked at him, he turned and stared back at me. Blushing, I quickly turned around and hid my face with a book.

'Please please please please look away.' I pleaded silently in my head. Bravely, I looked back over at him. Yes! He was looking away.

I sighed out of relief and listened to the teacher talk about history. Occasionly, I would stare at him, unnoticed.

His long black hair, sweet brown eyes, and perfect smile. I could melt. Really. You would have to mop me up from the floor.

Thank God, though, that didn't happen. The teacher handed out the assignment, giving us 5 minutes to work on it. I finished some of it and stuffed it in my book, hurrying out of History.

Ally was waiting there for me at the door. We both traveled down the hallway, staying out of the way for others.

"So, how did History go?" she smiled teasingly.

Why did I tell her about him?

"Nunya." I laughed and softly bumped into her shoulder.

"Fine. Be that way." she hurried off into the crowd.

     Jerk.

I finally got to my locker. As I opened it, a note slipped out. I quickly caught it and shoved it in my pocket before 'Princess' could see it.

I gathered all the books I needed and hurried to second period. Remembering the note, I dug into my pocket and pulled out the note. I uncrinkled it and immediantly reconized the handwriting.

    'Rebecca,

Please meet me at lunch by the pop machine.

    Myles.'

Oh.My.God. I swear, I stopped and reread it again like 10 times. Then hurried up, because people were bumping into me.
