After the bus ride I hurred in the house and ran in the kitchen.

"Mom!"

My mother jumped and looked away from the mail, to me.

"Rebecca Nicole, you nearly gave your mother a heart attack!" She took off her reading glasses. "What is it?"

"Okay, theres this boy, and...I really like him, and he he asked me on a date after school, can I please go?!"

"Sure honey. Have fun." She smiled at me and turned her attention back to the bills.

I held back a squeal, and sped up to my room. As I ran in, I dropped the backpack, and scoured through my dresser. There must be something in here that will impress him!

I tossed clothes around and finally found a white skirt that went to my knees. I put it on, and changed into a purple tank-top, pulling a white cut-off jacket, and smiled at myself in the mirrior. Maybe if I dressed like this more often people would like me....maybe.

I waited an hour, distracting myself with a book, before my mom called me downstairs.

When I came down, Myles stood there, and smiled at me.

"You didn't have to get fancy for me." He laughed.

I blushed. "I just wanted to look good..."

He nodded and after he talked to my mom, and we walked out of the house, he turned to me. "You always look good, Becca."

I blushed even more and looked away smiling.

We drove around looking for something to do. Finally, we decided to go to a Dairy Queen.

We got there and picked out a table after ordering.

"So...not that I'm not happy, but why did you suddenly ask me out?"

He smiled a little.

"I hate the way they treat you. They wouldn't know true beauty, if it tripped them."

I studied him. He couldn't be telling the truth.

"Really?"

"Yes! You should believe it too. You're beautiful."

I smiled slightly.

"T-thanks..."

He simply nodded and our food arrived.

After we finished the drive home was silent, except for the current pop music playing on a local radio station. He pulled up to my house and smiled at me.

"We should do this again." He winked, and my face turned beat red with a blush.

"Y-yeah! We should!" I agreed and said a goodbye.

When I walked in the face, I hurried upstairs, shut the door, and squealed, falling on the bed.

That was the best day of my life!

Sorry it was so short. Heh. I wasn't very inspired...oh well. Off to write some more!~
