I sat in the backseat after Lis beat me to it just thinking randomly. Wondering why all the girls who were different were getting thrown out of their packs. I sighed. Jace glanced in the rearview mirror and frowned a bit. I looked over at the clock and saw it was 6 in the evening. Looking out the window I placed my elbow on the door and leaned my head on my hand. We began to slow and I started feeling antsy, I didn't know what was going on but I saw out of the corner of my eye that the same thing was happening to Lisanna.
"Jason, pull over." I said, my voice sounding strained. He looked back at me quickly, "Already working on it, 'sup?"
"I think me and Lis are gonna shift soon."
His eyes widened and he cursed. I saw that the jeep in front of us stopped. I unbuckled quickly and practically ripped open the sliding door and hopped out, collapsing as I heard twin snaps. I looked to my left and saw Lis in the same position that I'm in. I faintly heard Jason curse as he ran over to me and Lis. Hearing another set of cracks I grit my teeth to keep from crying out. The pain was unbearable but I managed to stay concious and get through it. After what seemed like days of agony when in all reality it was maybe 20 minutes the pain subsided. I let out a breath of relief, which sounded like a huff. Opening my eyes I saw everything clearer, looking around I noticed a white wolf with red streaks in her fur laying on the ground. I got up shakily and padded over to her and nudged her head. Her eyes snapped open and if I could gasp I would have done so. Staring back at me were blood red eyes, that matched the streaks. I hopped back and lowered my head and watched as the she-wolf looked at me curiously, 'Liam?'
I looked around for the source of my sister's voice and heard a giggle. 'The red wolf is you?' I heard her ask. 'Where are you?' I asked confused. 'In front of you, you silly little bear.' I smiled at her nickname but it faltered when I realized what all she said.
'Sis, your eyes are red...' I trailed off. She cocked her head to the side. 'Huh. Well that's new.' She said more to herself than to me. I heard footsteps nearing and lowered myself into a defensive crouch, Lis doing the same. I saw Jason come out of the trees holding a pair of clothes and gasp, looking in Lisanna's direction. I shook my head rolling my eyes, Belle, Jace's mate came out behind him, she had clothes in hand as well.
Belle walked over to my sister and handed the clothes to her, just as Jace walked over to me and handed mine over. I took them in my teeth and ran behind a tree and thought of my human form, I opened my eyes and saw I was no longer covered in fur and on four legs and quickly pulled my clothes on. Stepping out I saw Jace looking over to where Belle was standing. I tilted my head to the side and nudged him, he looked over at me, "You saw Lis' eyes right?" He asked.
"Yep" I said popping the 'p'. "Pretty freakin cool if you ask me," I said smiling. He scowled, "what if people think she's a rabid wolf?" He questioned. I frowned at that thought.
"We tell them she isn't. She's still our sister," I said watching as she came out, she smiled over at me. She and Belle came over, "Her eyes changed when she shifted, same thing happened to me. My eyes used to be a golden hazel then I shifted and now they're as blue as my hair." Belle said, looking between my brother and I.
"I still think it's cool," I said grinning. Lis giggled, "Only you'd be able to handle my freakyness, twin."
Jace snorted, "Hey I think it's cool too, but I'm thinking of all the down-sides!" He exclaimed, looking a bit sad to be left out. Lis and I looked at each other and said at the exact same time, "Pessimist."
That got us and Belle laughing, Jace was trying to look offended but failed as a smirk won. The breeze then picked up and Belle took a whiff, "About time they get here," she said. I caught scent of honeysuckle and lavender, it had my wolf pacing, 'What's wrong?' I asked him, 'Find scent, find mate.' He said, my eyes widened and I saw out of the corner of my eye Lis stiffened as well. I side-stepped Belle and watched as a golden hazel eyed beauty stepped out of the forest, with a guy and a girl at her sides. "Goddess Ki, you take forever!" Belle exclaimed, I checked out my mate. She was about Lis' height slight tan, golden hazel eyes with black and green hair. I smiled. Then looked at the two who had joined her, the guy was about 6'5ish green eyes light brown hair, and he emanated alpha power. I groaned, "What's wrong?" I heard a soft voice ask.
"Bunch of alpha powered wolves in one clearing." I said running a hand down my face. "Recipe for disaster."
Lisanna smacked my arm, "Behave then, that goes for you too Jason." She scolded, I winced and frowned a bit. Then looked over to my mate, my wolf was begging me to go over there and claim her, 'wait,' I told him, 'why? she's ours!' he exclaimed.
I sighed mentally, 'She hasn't shifted yet, and if we claim her out of the blue she will hate us.' I said matter-of-factly. He wimpered a you're right then calmed down. I looked at the third person to arrive she had brown eyes and black hair, she was shorter than my mate, about the same height as Anita, and looked to be about the same age. Stepping forward a few steps I held my hand out, "I'm Liam Kaden Wolfe," I started, the pointed my head to my right where I knew Lis to be, "She's my sister, Lisanna Evallyn Wolfe, and he," I said quickly juking my head to the left in Jace's direction. "Is Jason Kyle Wolfe. We're former members of the Black Fire Pack."
The guy stepped forward and shook my hand quickly, "I'm Darren Kyle Forester, my sister, the one with the green hair, is Kiera Lynn," My wolf purred happily at knowing her name, "And my youngest sister is Diana Evelyn."
"Nice to meet you all," I heard Lisanna say quietly. I looked over at Jason, he had an eyebrow raised. I smirked. "Can I have a word with you in private Darren?" I asked, earning a low growl from Lis, "Behave!" She hissed, I nodded.
"Sure."
We walked into the cover of the trees before he stopped, "This should be far enough," he said. I nodded.
"So, your sister Kiera is my mate," I started off, "But my wolf wants to claim her. I know she hasn't shifted yet, so I figured I'd let you know."
He nodded, "Her birthday is next week, and your sister is mine, so I know your struggle."
"She's my twin, she and I litterally just shifted," I said. He nodded again.
"No harm, no foul. Right?" He asked, it was my turn to nod. We made our way back, I heard feet running and saw Lisanna and Kiera ran towards us, Lis flung herself towards Darren and pecked him on the cheek while Kiera did the same to me, I wraped my arms around her and stared at her in surprise. She giggled.
"Well, today has been," Jace started, "Interesting?" His mate finished for him. He nodded and hugged her.
"Shouldn't we be skidooshing right about now?" I asked, looking up from my mate to my brother and everyone else. They all nodded. I sighed, "Let's go then, don't need the enforcers on our rears quite yet." I said, letting an arm drop. I followed Jace and everyone else to the two vehichles.
"I guess Darren and Kiera are in my van and Diana's in the jeep." Jace said, looking over his shoulder at us. I smiled in agreement.
