I'm back again!

so I started rewatching game of thrones in order to help me write all this political stuff better and OOOOO is it getting deep as fuck in this book now. honestly i wish I could rewrite this whole thing because i am such a different person now at 25 compared to when i started writing this at 17 but maybe it's nice to read this book with it starting off as something simple and romance-heavy, then delving into something a bit more complex with political drama and marriage issues.

Enjoy the chapter and excuse the errors! As always your comments and thoughts and opinions are very much so appreciated xx

"Father please, I beg of you!"

Ronan Rahraenos grunted gruffly at his daughter's words. He didn't bother to look up at her as he gripped a miniature dragon figurine in the palm of his hand. His weary dark eyes scanned the map of Caunwaiton that emerged from the table. It was his favourite room in the entire castle, the Dragon's Den, where he had a table built out of stone the height of which reached mid-thigh and was a perfect carved out image of the entire country he dreamt of ruling one day.

"Reina, we are going forwards with this war."

"What am I to do if I lose you?" Reina sobbed quietly, holding her tongue to avoid her from saying 'Jon too'.

"It is far too late for us to stop, Little One," Ronan sighed heavily and lifted his gaze. "I know you have been against it from the start and as much as I value your opinion, this needs to be done."

"You never valued my opinion," Reina screeched, hand darting out and swiping across the table.

Ronan's eyes widened in shock as figurines of each house flew across the air and landed on the floor with loud, scattered noise that echoed across the room. He didn't say anything, knowing that his daughter was emotional because she was afraid. He knew little of her romantic relationship with Jon, always suspected something was there but more from his side than hers. He did however understand that they were the best of friends ever since they were little and this was the boy's first war so there was a lot of uncertainty and fear Reina was now on her knees, crying behind the table with her face in her hands. Ronan headed over to her slowly before he got down to her level. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she immediately threw her arms around him.

"Please let me come," Reina begged him. "I will take Vaera and I will come help you and Reyes and Jon. I will protect you all. Just please do not leave me to lose my mind locked up in this castle with all the children and women."

"Reina," Ronan sympathized with her, hugging her tight. "You remind me of your mother every single day."

"Mother would let me fight in the war," Reina huffed, pulling back with a frown. Ronan simply smiled sadly at her and brushed her hair back with both his hands.
