Dimension Drifter

Prologue

(Ren's P.O.V)

Steel clanged against steel as I sparred with my master, Corvo. He was well known for being dishonored and hunted down for being framed of killing our Empress and kidnapping her daughter. Now that he has brought her daughter , Emily, back and after she explained what happened, his honor was restored and was back to being The Royal Protector. Not only that, but he was now also the new Captain of the Guard, and it was also his job to help train new recruits. Occasionally, he would spar with one of us recruits, either because he thought we had potential....or because he thought we would need a good whooping. Luckily for me, it was the former reason that I was fighting him. As he does an overhand slash, I block with my sword and, with a technique he taught us, grabbed his sword wrist with my left hand and spun him 45 degrees to his left. While he was off balance, I forward kicked his side so that he can fall. As he quickly tries to get up, I pointed my sword at him and smiled.

"Got you this time." I say smiling.

"So it may seem." Corvo says.

Corvo then proceeds to leg sweep me off my feet from his position on the floor. Before I even knew it, the roles have been reversed, with me on the floor and him staring down at me, sword in hand, smiling.

"Should've known, I knew you wouldn't lose so easily." I say, smile still on my face.

"I almost did, well not really." He says, smiling too as he reaches for me with his hand. I graciously take his hand as he lifts me easily off the floor. He pats me on the shoulder and says something to me, but I couldn't hear it. Someone was shouting my name and poking me at my shoulder.

"Ren! Ren wake up!"

"Huh...just...5 more minutes" I say groggily.

"Oh no Mister! You're going to be late for the last day of school!" Says a familiar voice.

"C'mon Mom! Quit it!" I say, smiling as she continued to poke the ever living hell out of me. She smiles and says,

"It's the last day of school, Ren! You should be excited!"

"I know Mom, I am." I say, as I slide off my bed. "I can finally relax after a full year of school!"

(Narrator's P.O.V)

The character you see here is Ren Kato Rojas. A 17 year old boy with a passion for gaming and anime, thanks to his mother. His father however, slightly disapproves of his love for these things and says that he should find a better hobby, so he constantly invites Ren over to his small farm for some hard work. Thanks from all the hard work he does on the farm (More like a small plantation), he grew a slightly bulky and tanned muscular body, which has attracted the looks and gazes of the girls at his school every once and a while (which he never notices because he's such a lovable dork, which attracts the girls even more!).

(Ren's P.O.V)

"Have a good day at school sweetie!" Says Mom.

"Thanks Mom! Have a good day at work! Love you!" I say, waving goodbye. My Mom smiles and drives off in her car she dropped me off in. I sigh as I walk up to the front gate, last day of school. I can finally hang out with my friends for days on end without having to worry about my sleeping schedule.

"Still saying 'I love you' to your mom openly, eh?" Says a familiar voice behind me.

"Yeah, because I actually love my Mom." I say while turning around, smiling.

"I love my mother too!" My friend Hector says defensively.

"Uh-huh, sure" I say teasingly.

"I do!"
