"khelti zindagi mein," she muttered dramatically, making Vihaan smirk.
"Let me check," Vihaan offered, grabbing his phone.
Drishti clasped her hands together, mentally pleading with every deity she could think of, her eyes squeezed shut. When she finally opened them, she found Amaira, Vihaan, and Anjali all staring at her with solemn expressions.
"Kya hua? Fail ho gayi kya?" she asked nervously, her heart racing.
"Bhabhi, ab aapka kya hoga?" Vihaan said with mock concern, shaking his head.
“Shut up! Pareshan karna band karo use,” Anjali scolded, standing up and placing a comforting hand on Drishti's head. "You did well," she assured her with a warm smile.
Relieved, Drishti let out a sigh and relaxed back into the sofa.
Anjali turned to Amaira, who was busy fiddling with her phone. "Amaira, what about your results?" she asked.
Amaira, as carefree as ever, shrugged nonchalantly. "Badi maa, waise toh main saare subjects mein pass ho gayi... lekin... lekin do subjects mein back lag gaya," she announced, oddly proud of herself.
Vihaan smacked her lightly on the head. "Iski khushi dekho, jaise top maar ke aayi ho!" he said, and everyone burst into laughter.
“Abhi bhaiya puchenge toh kya bologe? Isi confidence se bolna,” Vihaan teased.
Amaira’s confidence faltered for a moment. "Bhaiya..." she mumbled, imagining Advait's reaction. “Unko koi batayega hi nahi toh wo kaise janenge?”
“Ohhh, main hoon na. Tera kaam aasaan kar dunga. Tere liye main sabko ek-ek karke bata dunga,” Vihaan said.
Amaira’s eyes widened in horror. “Badi maa, main isko maar dungi!” she shouted, launching herself after Vihaan, who quickly got up and started running.
Anjali shook her head, walking away from the chaos. Drishti, meanwhile, sipped her tea with a smile, thoroughly enjoying the lively banter.
"What drama are you creating so early in the morning?" vait asked in his usual stern voice as he descended the stairs, his gaze sweeping over the commotion.
The moment they heard his voice, Vihaan and Amaira froze mid-chase, their playful antics coming to an abrupt halt.
Drishti turned her head to look at him, a soft smile spreading across her face. Advait's expression softened as he caught her gaze, and he returned her smile briefly.
Vihaan and Amaira exchanged glances, mouthing a synchronized, "Ohhh!" while stifling their laughter.
"Don't turn the house into a carnival so early in the morning," Advait said, coming toward the sitting area.
Drishti stood up and went to get coffee, while Vihaan came in, shouting mockingly at Amaira, "Bhaiya, she failed!"
Amaira immediately ran in front of Advait, trying to defend herself. "I didn’t fail! It’s just a couple of backlogs."
"Same thing," Vihaan teased with a grin.
"Shut up, you fifth-grade fail!" Amaira shot back, glaring daggers at him.
Drishti came with coffee and put it in front of Advait, and he was looking at Vihaan and Amira and picked up his coffee.
Finally, Advait spoke in his usual stern tone, "You were supposed to keep an eye on her. How did she end up failing?"
Vihaan’s smile disappeared in an instant. Amaira, on the other hand, quickly interjected, "Bhaiya, I didn’t fail!" She glanced nervously at Advait, who was now glaring at her. She quickly added with a sheepish smile, "Okay, okay, whatever makes you happy."
