Carter : Original story

Chapter 15

Everyone was seated and everyone was eating. I didn't. I couldn't. Not after hearing everything. Misa wanted me to be gone. I was meant to watch Ava being killed and not Maze. Was this really my fault. Did I do something so wrong in my past life.

I sighed and slowly got up and walked away from the table to head outside. I needed space and some time alone. When I was outside. I sat down on a bench and looked at the sky that was slolwy changing. Just looking at the sky clamed me down.

"Carter," said Jagger.

I looked at him and said, "I need time alone. Can Jost and Tosh see me home. I need to calm down. I need time to think. I'm sorry Jagger."

I got up and started to leave when Jagger pulled me to him and kissed me. I kissed him back and put everything I felt for him into that kiss. When we broke apart he kissed my forhead and said, "I love you. I know you need space and to think everything over. I've texted Josh and Tosh and they'll see you home. I'll let your parents and your mother's brother's family know that you weren't feeling well. Get some rest."

I walked away from Jagger and into Josh and Tosh's car. They took me home and waited for my family to arrive. I went to my room and just went to sleep.

A full week went by. A full week where Jagger gave me space and didn't question me. A full week that everyone was getting things set up for my birthday. A full week that I was packing my things up that I would be taking with me.

I felt burnt out and today was my birthday party. Today is Friday and tomorrow I would be moving in with my Aunt and Uncle. Also Jagger will be taking the trails this coming week. I wont have any contact with him until after everything is said and done. I'm worried because of the fact that I haven't talk with Jagger in a week.

Knocking sounded at my door. I glanced at my self in the mirror. My hair was pulled back up into a bun and some loose strands hung down. I was already in my dress for the night. Sighing as the knocking kept on sounding from my door. I sighed and said, "Come in."

My door open and my father and mother walked in and they smiled at me. My mother walked over to me and said, "Carter my dear you look lovely. I cannot believe that you are turning 18 tomorrow."

I sighed and looked at them and said, "I wouldn't be here if it were not for the two of you."

My mother hugged me and said, "That may be true, but their isn't anything I wouldn't do for your mother, and rising you along with my own two children brought me great joy."

"Your mother is right. Carter I've seen you grow up and be come strong and wise like your father and stubborn and caring like your mother. But you also come to know what you want with out changing your mind even with everything laid out in front of you. I am thankful that you and Jagger are taking steps into being one so that way we wont lose you." Said my father.

I smiled and said, "I know. I thought things through and have back up ideas if nothing else works. I think we should get going before anything else goes wrong tonight. We all know Ava will throw a fit if I don't get down their in time for this party."

They laughed because they knew that Ava would throw a fit over me being late to my own party. We walked out of my room and before I could shut my door, Ava meet us outside my room and dragged me out drown to the room that was set up for the party while the adults watched from the above.

"You're late young lady. Don't worry your family has made it and we promise nothing being said about lords or ladies will be said tonight. Now come on. Jagger has been dancing with Lacy and he's getting bored dancing with someone who cannot dance," Ava said.

I sighed and agreed with her. She pulled me along and soon we met up with everyone. When my eyes landed on Jagger I laughed and walked over to Lacy and Jagger and said, "Cousin may I dance with Jagger."

Lacy glared at me and nodded at me. I watched as she walked away from me. I looked at Jagger and said, "Sorry for the wait. I've been talking with mother and father."

"Its alright Lady Fallen. May I have this dance?" He asked me.

I nodded my head yes and soon we were dancing. I heard people talking about how well we looked together and how beautiful I am. I sighed and soon I felt Jagger pull me closer and he whisper in in my ear, "You know, you seem tired. Is something on your mind?"

I sighed and said, "Its just tomorrow I'll be moving in with them and then next week I'll be at a new school and I won't see you as much. But it won't help because you'll be taking the trails. I don't want to go a full week without talking to you but I know we must."

Jagger walked me off the dance floor and outside and said, "I know Carter. But once I finish with the trails I'll come see you or have your brother come and get you so that way you can come and see me. I will want to see you once I am done. Then we'll see each other as much as we can. We'll make this work, and if things don't work out at your uncles house you can always come back and your mother and mother will take you back if. After all you are my girlfriend."

I smiled and Jagger kissed me and I kissed him back. When we pulled apart I just stayed in his arms and held him. I didn't want to go back to the party. I didn't want to think about anything or anyone. I just want to stay with him.

All to soon our spell was broken when Alex walked over to us and told us that our families wanted to see us.
