I was walking home. It was eerily quiet, but when is Lawrence not, and unfortunately, my family isn't allowed to listen to music while we're walking outside because 'something could happen'. Dad called an hour ago and told me to come home, he was going on another trip. Typical.

I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I didn't notice the figure behind me until it had an arm around me, a hand on my mouth, and it's mouth by my ear. "Don't move. Daddy won't save you now." A female voice cackled in my ear. Next thing I knew, chains were binding my wrists and tape was covering my mouth. The creature stepped in front of me and gave me a view of its face. 'It' was a 'she' and she was a demon. Her eyes glowed bright, inferno red and her teeth glinted pearly white in the moonlight as she giggled at me. I tried to reach towards my pocket to grab the bottle of holy water, but she saw my movements and jerked the chains up. "Oh no, no. None of that." She clutches her stomach and tilts her head back, baring the scars on the corners of her mouth pointing up to form a permanent smile etched on her face and the lip rings pierced on either side of her lower lip.

"Scarlet that's quite enough. Release the poor girl." I heard a male voice call out. I looked up and saw a tall, thin man, who's eyes glowed a bright candy green. His brown hair was shaggy and hanging into his eyes as he gazed at me. Suddenly, he started literally glowing a bright white, showcasing his large wings that spread behind him. "Let. Her. Go." He stated once more staring directly into my grey eyes.

Scarlet grabbed a fistful of my platinum blonde hair and jerked my head towards the sky. "What? You mean this thing? She's hardly worth your time, Samandriel." She called towards the angel. "Aren't you just an attention whore tonight." She snarled into my ear and dragged me to Samandriel, throwing me at his feet. She turned on her heel and started walking away. "On second thought," she snapped her fingers and Samandriel stumbled back. When he regained his balanced he whispered,"cover your eyes, Allison." I did as told and the whole alley was bathed in bright white light. Then everything went black as I passed out at the angel's feet.
