I was walking, wondering through the trees covered in moss, their leaves waltzing with the wind, the water was gentle, I saw someone laying down, their eyes were shut, her face was peaceful like all the worries that she had was washed away with the water, her body was like a plank her arms by her side, her fingers running through the grass making undiscovered shapes while her feet were limp slowly tapping a rhythm, her hair was splayed out like a ring around her face, as I walked forward she shoot up staring at me, taking in the details of my face, I walked over and say by her, ripping up the grass with my hands out of boredom while asking her name, she replied after searching her mind it was like everything was gone including her name but then she managed to push out "Em", Em it suited her short and simple I muttered her name a couple times to get a taste of it before laying down and staring at the sky which was being pained by the artist which was the sun, reds, yellows and pinks filled the sky merging behind clouds to form new colors, she had laid back down next to me her head in line with mine but her feet falling short at my mid calf, I closed my eyes as I took in all the sounds, realizing I haven't introduced myself "J" I announce before falling asleep with her breathing, the wind and water as my soundtrack. After a couple minutes I awoke to hear her getting up dusting herself off. "Don't go" I manage to quickly say before opening my eyes looking at the sky now painted a navy blue with small white stars sprinkled throughout it, "stay for a bit longer " I add but she carries on walking away. I let out a small sigh and close my eyes replaying her name. Em. Did it stand for Emily? Emma?

After a couple minutes I slowly got up forcing myself to walk home in the moonlight, the moon was already up, it was pale but full, as I made my way back I couldn't help to think about Em. The way her finger traced unrecognized shapes, the way her chest fell quickly as se breathed. Before I got into bed I looked up at the moon illuminating my bed, slowly slipping in and then slipping into dreams.
