As I find myself laying by the river with my head resting on my bag, my mind seems to flick to J , the way his breath was slow and peaceful, the way his eyes were like the ocean I seemed to sink into them, how his hair fell by the sides of his face framing it, like a frame on a photo. Snap. He's back. "Hey" he spoke tearing me away from my thoughts, sending them down the river. I my eyes followed him as he sat next to me, a playful breeze pushed his hair about leaving his locks rugged, he lifts his hand to push his hair back before looking at me intrigued. He turned his head so he would be facing the water gently lapping the sides. He started to say something but I was too deep in his eyes to hear like I was actually drowning, water seemed to fill my ears making his words dulled as they fell out of his mouth but his voice was clear, soft like he was telling me a secret but I couldn't understand a word that jumped off of his tongue , diving into the air and disappearing before it landed into my ears. He stopped speaking for a bit and looked at me, looking for a response from me. "S-sorry what did you say?" I ask him, he just sighs and says " I've never seen you around, are you new around here?" He retorts back at me sharply turning his head to face a group of trees huddled together. Without a word I nod my head and let out a small mm that seemed to jump out of between my teeth but stop at my lips. He lays down next to me and turns his at to face me, we are now face to face, the silent words fall out of his mouth telling me a story about him, though it was just my imagination creating something to fill the silence that has laid between us like a soundproof wall. His eyes are searching mine for something, his eyebrows furrow in confusion like he has read my thoughts, the corners of his lips tug at a small smile before giving up he rolls his head to face the sky as so does mine. "Tell me about yourself" he pleaded still with a gaze at the slowly moving clouds running away from the sun. "There's nothing to say about me I'm an open book" I notified him, he turns to me again to turn back while the sun catches his eyes and leaving a small glint of light in a wave of the ocean then he let's put a small chuckle. "We're all running from something" he pointed out. I agreed by a small nod of my head before he got up and walking away without another word between us, leaving me at a loss for words while his echoed in my mind, bouncing off my walls of memory and brushing past my feelings centre lightly tugging on it causing a small tear to escape from lot eye and land on the ground to disappear.
