It was an ordinary morning—one of those mornings where everything felt perfectly in sync, as if life had finally settled into a peaceful rhythm.

Mustafa and Sharjeena moved around their home effortlessly, as if dancing to an unspoken melody. She poured the tea while he toasted the bread. He handed her the butter before she could ask, and she passed him his tie without him even realizing he had been searching for it. Their routine had become second nature, flowing seamlessly, just like their conversations.

Breakfast was filled with the usual chatter, punctuated by laughter and playful teasing. Mustafa, still slightly groggy from sleep, kept fidgeting with his cufflinks as he spoke animatedly about his big investor meeting later that day.

"I swear, this could be a huge game-changer," he said, his voice laced with nervous excitement. "But mujhe ghabrahat bhi ho rahi hai. Agar main kahi atak gaya toh? Agar main—"

"You won't," Sharjeena interrupted firmly, reaching across the table to squeeze his hand. "Mustafa, tumnein itni mehnat kari hai is presentation mein. Tumko yeh deal zaroor milegi. Koi paagal hi hoga jo tumhaari itni solid pitch ko reject karega."

He exhaled, her words a soothing balm to his anxious thoughts. "You always make it sound so easy."

She grinned. "Because it is easy. Tum wahaan jaaoge, ek shaandaar si presentation douge, aur deal jeet jaaoge. Aur phir, apni wife ke saath celebrate karoge aur usey accha sa dinner karaaoge."

Mustafa chuckled. "Deal. And agar nahi jeeta toh?"

"Toh phir tumhaari wife tumhein dinner karaayegi," she said with a wink. "Because you'll probably need comfort food."

They both laughed, their love woven into these little moments, these everyday conversations that made life feel lighter.

Once breakfast was done, they moved in tandem—Sharjeena grabbed her bag while Mustafa checked for his keys. He kissed her forehead absentmindedly as she adjusted his tie one last time. Then, hand in hand, they stepped out of their apartment, locking the door behind them.

The sun was bright, the morning air crisp, filled with the distant hum of city life.

As they walked toward their respective cars, they continued talking, their voices overlapping, blending into the noise of the bustling street.

It was just another day.

An ordinary, perfect morning.

Neither of them had the slightest idea that within a few hours, everything would change.

The day moved swiftly, with Sharjeena breezing through her tasks, her heart light and her mind occupied with anticipation. Every now and then, she stole a glance at her phone, waiting for a message from Mustafa. She knew his investor meeting was around midday, and she couldn't help but feel a bubbling excitement, eager to hear his update.

It wasn't just about the deal. It was about him. She had seen how hard he had worked, how much effort he had put into making this happen. She had seen him doubt himself, seen the nervous energy in his hands this morning when he fixed his cufflinks over and over again. And now, she wanted to hear the relief in his voice.

And then, finally, around lunchtime—her phone rang.

Mustafa.

She picked up almost instantly, a smile already forming on her lips.
