Rachel watches Quinn walk out of the room and just can't get over what had just occurred; yet at the same time, she knows it probably should have happened sooner due to Kurt's actions.
She looks over to Kurt, who hasn't moved an inch since Quinn stopped talking and debates addressing things now or later.
"Ya know, sometimes you act like a real entitled jackass Kurt."
Surprisingly it's Mercedes that says this, albeit in a much calmer voice than Rachel probably would have been able to use.
"You're my good friend, I promise, and I love you, but your attitude has been horrible this whole damn time."
She shakes her head before continuing, "I think Quinn covered everything; I'm still your friend-but you need to think about this, ya know?"
Kurt nods just barely and Mercedes goes to her seat.
Rachel lets out a frustrated groan, unable to believe that they can't catch a break, "Okay. We're going to not speak about what just occurred. We are going to run through the choreo one last time and then I'm leaving to go home to see my girlfriend. For the next half hour? I don't want a single word that doesn't have anything to do with our club. Let's go."
Santana is proud of Rachel for how she's handling this, even though she really would have loved to give Kurt a piece of her mind.
She follows Brittany to the floor and shoots a glance over to Kurt and sees how flustered he is and how he all together looks like he's floundering. Santana can't help but feel pleased with the development. She shares a look with Rachel, who shakes her head subtly, noiselessly telling her not to say anything.
"Alright-from the top!"
After an intense thirty minutes, Rachel claps her hands twice and lets out a slightly winded, "Great job guys. We'll meet up again Saturday as planned, no excuses, we need to be on top of this. See you then." She then about-faces, walks towards her things and picks up her bottle of water and takes a long sip, her eyes scanning over everyone else as they all collectively unclench from their stance and break from formation.
Santana and Brittany silently communicate with her that they'll talk to her later, and Rachel is glad that they understand her need to not talk about things right now.
Unfortunately, Kurt doesn't get the memo, because he stops her just as she's walking out the door, "Rachel? I want to talk to you."
Shaking her head, Rachel avoids looking at his face, for fear of what she may say in the heat of the moment, "Kurt, look, now is really not the time. I want to get to Quinn, and maybe talk things through with her first. She's my main priority here."
The boy refuses to let that be the end of it, "I think talking about it now, rather than letting things fester, would be a better course of action."
Rachel's eyes snap up to meet his, and she glares at him, "Oh? And what makes you say that Kurt? What makes you the expert? Is that the same kind of mentality that had Quinn blow up at you?"
He puts up his hands as if to surrender, his eyes wide as he takes a step back, "I was only saying-"
"No...I heard what you were only saying. You want to talk about it now? Okay, fine, let's talk about it now. Let's talk about how you've been throwing snide comments at Quinn since you walked into practice today. Let's start there shall we?"
She turns around and throws her things on a chair and whirls around to face him, "Everyone that was here today has heard your offhanded comments and have not said anything in order to keep things going smoothly. But don't think for a second that I didn't get your tone when you said, 'excellent time to be out and proud, isn't it?' after Sam mentioned the video interview. Or actually, what really got me was when Quinn accidentally bumped into you, and you went ahead and blew her into smithereens with, 'Oh wow, if this was a few years ago, I'd have been calling you out for gay-bashing, but I guess it's alright now since you're now out and proud.'
