12. Snuggle with me?

I woke up with my forehead pressed against the wooden dresser besides my bed.

As I pulled it away, it stuck slightly, and this, along with the slight glow from outside, told me that it was almost morning.

Glancing over at the bed I cringed slightly, the lump under my duvet moving upwards and downwards with each breath. If I had been more aware of what had been happening, maybe I'd have actually realised what Jace and Shannon had planned.

And if I hadn't been there at all... Well, I don't even want to think about what could have happened.

A pair of bright eyes reflected the light, watching me intently as I rubbed sleep and fuck knows what else from my eyes.

I forced a smile.

"Morning, sleepy pants," Olivia whispered quietly, keeping mostly hidden under the large king sized blanket.

"How long have you been up?" I asked, handing her a glass of water from the dresser I had previously been KO'd on. Sitting up to take the glass, she shrugged.

"Not long, I guess,"

"You look awful," I attempted to make a joke, which she seemed to appreciate as she sipped from the frosted glass, her eyes partially closed.

"Must be something I ate," She replied, handing the glass back to me and pulling the duvet upwards as she sat in the centre of my bed. After a moments pause, she seemed to blush in the vaguely existing light, her cheeks puffed out. "Thanks,"

I studied her or a second, a smile tugging my lips upwards as the slightest mention of what happened was acknowledged. I felt awful.

I mean, it was my friends that did this to her. And she was thanking me.

It was almost laughable.

"Any time," I replied, nodding slightly.

We sat in silence for a good few minutes, sharing glances every so often. Her red hair was an unkempt mane around her narrow face, and as I turned the bedside lamp on she blinked back the light, grimacing.

Even in her unbrushed state, she was stunning.

I just wanted to watch her for hours.

"Why are you staring at me?"

I blushed, and looked away. "Just making sure you're okay, that's all," I didn't have to look at her to know that she was holding back laughter.

I was so shit at lying; the world's most disappointing teenager.

"Well, I'm fine," Olivia said, the 'luckily' hanging from the end of her sentence, although left unsaid.

The brief moment I looked away from the girl, was just another reminder that I probably should have cleaned my room before the party. I mean, even if all this hadn't gone down, somewhere deep down I had hoped that Olivia had wanted to come back for I don't know... a coffee or something.

Well, I mean I was more feeling the something; coffee isn't really my thing.

Unless by coffee we mean mango Sourz.

"I feel like I've been hit by a car," Olivia broke the silence, as she buried herself into the blanket and pillows, her red hair disappearing. I pulled back the edge slightly to look at her, frowning slightly.

"Do you want some pain killers or something?"

"No, absolutely not," She groaned, covering her eyes with a small hand. "I vouch to never take drugs again,"

Laughing quietly I let the blanket fall back over her face. "Yeah, I guessed as much," I pulled my legs up on the bag, feeling pins and needles spread across my feet.

"Are you not uncomfortable up there?" She asked me eventually, after a slightly irritated grunt from myself. "I mean, bean bags don't make great sleeping,"

"Says the girl in my bed," I chuckled, shaking my head. "Nah, I mean, its cold, but that's all."

I heard a slight hiccup, and then; "There's enough room for the two of us..." There was an almost unnoticeable pause. "I mean to sleep, that's all..."

Her small head poked up from between the sheets, and I spent a moment thinking, as I studied her expression. After a moments hesitation, I stood slightly, and slid under the duvet to the side I was sat by, my body immediately finding warmth.

Laying on my back, I cleared my throat slightly.

"Uh, Olivia?"

"Yes, Nathan?" Her arm was pressed against my own, and I could hear her breath catch as she spoke.

"Could we swap sides please?" There was a short silence, as Olivia turned to look at me, her eyebrow raised.

"You have your own side of the bed?" She asked, hiccuping slightly.

"Yeah, I can't sleep on the left..." My words trailed and I moved away slightly. Before I could get any further, she had a hold of me and was dragging me towards her.

"Fine, move," She laughed, as I landed on her side, her breath brushing against my neck. Looking down at her, I blushed, and both of us were silent. Her green eyes were focused on mine, before she looked away, and smiled slightly. "Stop being so fat and move,"

I smiled, as I climbed over her, finally able to lay on the other side of the bed. She had trapped one of my legs between hers, so that I was forced to face her, still not looking me directly in the eye.

"What?" I asked eventually, using my arm to prop myself up.

"I'm cold," Olivia whispered, looking at the duvet as she spoke.

Without thinking, I moved closer to her small frame, and pulled her towards me. Her breathing became shallow, as her body fit against my chest, and my arms circled her.

The feeling of her body against mine was something I hadn't experienced in quite some time.

Hell, the last girl I had bought to this room, was Annie Walker back during year 11 leavers prom; and that had ended with mad fumbling an rash decision making.

This was different; it was like I could just be besides her, and know that that was all.

Of course, deep down, I knew I wanted more, as I turned of the small bedside lamp.

Yet, even deeper down, I had always known that I would wake up alone, to a cold patch on the other side of the bed.
