The late hours of the night had arrived, and the moon shone intensely through the window. My wound had fully healed, and Carmilla lay on our bed, her pale face and flawless skin now with more color, and her lips intensely red, sleeping deeply, bathed in the moonlight.
"What am I going to do with us?" I pondered, so I quietly went down to the inn's patio.
I sat on a balcony, weighing all the possibilities and what our future would be like if we were to live together as immortal beings. And then she appeared behind me:
"Grandmother Flora?" I exclaimed, very surprised.
"Surprise!" she said, making a funny face, seeming to want to scare some sort of spirits. Then she looked towards the window where Carmilla lay and asked me:
"Everything alright, grandson?"
"Umm... I think so, well... I don't know..." I replied.
"Hmm..." she thought, crossing her arms. "Love is a very difficult thing..."
"Are you here for me?" I asked.
"And for her!" she said, pointing her face towards the window.
"For Carmilla? Do you want me to introduce her to you? But she's sleeping..." I frowned.
"Nah, grandson, I'm here to play nurse! Come on, I have many things to tell you, there are news! Your tests results!" She winked at me, and we quickly went up to the room.
Flora began to examine Carmilla. Her face, hair, and skin. She placed her finger on her forehead and frowned.
"Hmm.... someone has been tampering with the vampire's mind." Flora began to light some incense and handed it to me.
"Quick! I think your girlfriend is starting to catch my scent, we don't want her to get triggered again" she murmured urgently.
I spread the incense aroma throughout the place and asked her:
"What do you want to see? What's happening to Carmilla?" I threw a million questions at her, completely confused.
"Point number one, grandson," she said, pointing her finger. "For now, she's fine. You gave her a good boost with your blood, and I don't see any side effects, for now."
"Point two!" she exclaimed, muttering. "We had already talked about the effects of your blood on her, and it seems you've given her some physical changes too, and permanent ones."
She took a deep breath and whispered:
"Point number three! I sensed a mental disturbance, and it seems someone performed a lobotomy on our gothic princess here. "Any idea?"
"There was this, pretty woman. She whispered, then Carmilla felt unconscious. It was like she emanated a sort of pheromones." I said.
"Hmm.." She thinks. "This woman.. she seems to have taken an interest in you, my dear grandson. I don't know what her plan is, but we need to keep a closer eye for now. But it seems to be all the signs of a siren."
"Now I have sirens on my list.. great addition to my date collection, supernatural Tinder!" I thought.
"I don't know if you answered my last question, grandma. I don't understand," I then said.
"Oh! About your blood tests" She wanted to talk, but I eagerly interrupted.
"Grandpa told me about that test, I think I am half-angel..but like Superman!" I joked.
"Shh! Do not interrupt me!" She complained, raising a finger, then continued "That's why I was coming here. Technically, at this age, you're actually a full one. In fact, it's something we discovered just now, thanks to the blood sample your Grandpa took from you. Blame your mother!" she laughed.
