She was about to give up when she spotted it - a USB drive tangled in his bedsheets, like he'd been reviewing something right before...

Her laptop whirred to life as she plugged it in, the screen casting blue light across her face as files loaded.

"What did you get on them?" she whispered, already reaching for her laptop. "What did you find that was worth taking you?"

The screen glowed to life as she plugged in the drive, files populating rapidly. Security footage, financial documents, communications logs...

And there, in a folder labeled simply "J", everything clicked into place.

Her blood ran cold as she read, pieces of a much darker puzzle finally forming a complete picture. Her hands trembled slightly as she opened it. This was it. The concrete evidence she'd been searching for all along.

"You actually did it," she breathed, scrolling through files. "You got proof."

Security camera footage from SM. Financial transactions. Private meetings between Jung and Choi. Everything they needed to confirm what she'd suspected since Tokyo.

No wonder they'd taken him.

He'd gotten too close.

Winter's hand shook slightly as she stared at her laptop screen, the evidence from Y/N's USB drive painting a picture more twisted than even she had imagined. The dorm felt too quiet, the weight of what she'd discovered pressing down on her chest.

"Guys?" she called out, her voice barely above a whisper. Then louder, with more urgency: "Everyone. Now."

Footsteps approached - Karina first, her leader instincts responding to the tone in Winter's voice. Then Ningning, eyes still puffy from crying. Giselle was last, Y/N's jacket wrapped around her shoulders like armor.

"What is it?" Karina asked, her earlier anger tempered by concern.

"He didn't leave." Winter turned her laptop so they could see. "Look."

Security footage filled the screen - Y/N entering the convenience store, then the sudden appearance of figures in the alley. The sickening flash of metal, his body crumpling.

"Oh god," Ningning's hands flew to her mouth. "Is that..."

"Choi." Winter's voice was hard. "And someone else. Someone we should have suspected all along."

She clicked through more files - financial records showing payments between Prime Entertainment Japan and a series of shell companies. Meeting logs. Communications.

"Jung." Giselle's voice cracked on the name. "It was Jung?"

"All of it," Winter confirmed, pulling up more documents. "The scandal leak, Choi's appointment, the technical failures in Tokyo... he orchestrated everything."

Karina sank onto the couch, her usual composure cracking. "But why? Why go to such lengths?"

"Revenge." Winter played a security clip from their old practice room - Jung and Choi in heated discussion. "After Y/N stood up to him during 'Whiplash' promotions, after we exposed his abuse... he spent the last year building this."

She showed them transaction records, property deeds, corporate filings. "Prime Entertainment Japan? It's his. Or rather, his brother's. They've been quietly buying up production companies, building influence."

"The dating announcement," Giselle said suddenly, realization dawning. "My 'relationship' with that Japanese idol..."

"A distraction," Winter confirmed. "To keep us - and the public - focused on something else while they moved pieces into place."
