As I made my way towards the elevator, I met up with Wanda who was just coming out of her room.

"Y/n! Oh my gosh you look gorgeous!" Wanda exclaimed.

"Oh thank you," I said, a blush creeping up on my cheeks, "so do you."

Wanda was wearing a floor-length, black, long-sleeved dress, complete with a diamond necklace and earrings. Her hair was styled to one side and her make-up consisted of red lips and smoky eyes, giving her that sort of, edgy look. She did look amazing.

We walked to the lift together and got to talking about the most random things. It wasn't until we were in the lift that something caught her eye.

"Wow I didn't know you had a tattoo," Wanda said with wide eyes.

The tattoo was the phases of the moon, starting at the base of my neck, and travelling all the way down the middle of my back, ending at about the same height as my hips.

"Oh, yes," I said softly, "Hydra gave it to me as a mark of how I was made. You see, when they were experimenting on me, they decided to try out a new way of experimenting on humans. They used moonlight to aid them in their experiments, hence why I can control water, just like how the moon controls the tides. I don't know exactly what they did or how they got it to work, but I guess it did the trick."

Wanda stared at me for a minute, possibly unsure of how to reply.

"Well I like it. I think it shows who you are, and symbolises you overcoming Hydra and breaking free from them," she said, passion evident in her voice as she spoke.

"I never thought about it like that," I said, a smile making its way onto my lips.

I turned my head to the elevator doors, as we had arrived on the ground floor.

The elevator doors opened and everyone was standing around talking, until they noticed us.

Everything went silent, making me feel awkward and uneasy. At first I thought they were looking at Wanda, but all eyes seemed to be on me. I couldn't guess why. I mean, I looked nice, but I didn't look that nice.

Wanda nudged me in the side playfully, earning a small glare from me. I took a step forward and cleared my throat.

"Well, this has been fun, but shouldn't we get going?" Clint spoke up.

"Yeah, let's go," Steve said, breaking away from the crowd.

I locked eyes with Pietro for a second and felt myself blushing again, so I quickly looked at my feet and began to walk with Wanda.

I saw Clint elbow Pietro in the side, before saying, "come on kid, you can look at her later, but right now we're going to be late."

This caused me to laugh a little as I walked along, heading towards the front doors of the building with everyone else.

"Hey you," Natasha said as she joined up with Wanda and I, "You know, you look pretty amazing tonight kid. You got everybody staring."

"Well, I have you to thank for that," I said.

"It's no problem," she said, giving me a warm smile.

We all walked out of the building and towards the cars parked just outside.

"Okay, so Natasha, Clint, y/n and I, we'll be in this car," Steve said, gesturing to the black Bentley.

"Cool, so we're in this car then," Sam said, walking towards the black Ferrari.

"Nice cars," I said in awe as we all got into our respective vehicles.

"I know, right?" said Steve, holding the door open for me so I could get in.

I was sat next to Nat in the back, while Clint was in the passenger seat and Steve was driving.

"Looks like somebody has a little crush on you y/n," Nat stated.

"What?" I said, feeling slightly confused.

"Pietro?" she said, as if it were completely obvious.

"What?" I repeated, feeling completely lost at this point.

"Oh come on y/n, don't tell me you haven't noticed," she scoffed as she glanced out the window.

"Noticed what? What is there to notice?" I questioned.

"You're telling me you haven't noticed the way he looks at you? The way he acts around you? The way he talks to you even? I mean it's written all over his face the way he feels about you," she said.

"What? No. It's not like that," I said.

I refused to believe for a second that he actually liked me. It just wasn't possible. There was no way I was going to let myself get caught up in my silly, one-sided feelings for Pietro.

"Oh it's just like that," she stated matter-of-factly, "he's crushing, and he's crushing hard."

"Oh it's more than a crush," said Clint, butting into our conversation, "he is totally star struck with you. I think he really likes you y/n."

"No, now you're just being ridiculous. Steve are you hearing this?" I asked.

"Yeah I am, and I have to say y/n I've noticed it myself as well," he said.

'That was not the answer I was hoping for,' I thought.

"And from what I can tell, you feel the same way he does," Steve said.

This earned an outburst of laughter from both Natasha and Clint.

"Oh my gosh, no!" I said, perhaps a bit too quickly.

"Don't even try to deny it y/n," Nat said through her laughter.

I groaned and rested my head against the car window, tilting it slightly so I could gaze up at the sky. A billion thoughts were swimming around in my head, all of them to do with Pietro.

We soon pulled up to the party, and I began to feel a bit uneasy. I slowly got out of the car and steadied myself so as to not fall over my own feet.

"Hey," said a husky voice from behind me.

'Pietro,' I thought.

"Hi," I smiled up at him, feeling just slightly embarrassed after having an entire conversation about him in the car a minute ago.

"You look really beautiful," he said.

I could feel my cheeks heat up as soon as he said this.

"Thank you," I said, looking down at my feet in an attempt to cover up the blush.

"Star struck," Clint whispered as he walked past me.

I shot him daggers, to which he just laughed.

"Everybody ready?" Steve asked.

"Ready as we'll ever be," said Sam.

Pietro extended an arm out to me.

"Shall we?" he said.

I linked arms with him, and took in a deep breath.

"Let's do this."
