Why I Smile

I sat in my little apartment, showered and in my cheer shorts and baggy tshirt. I had ordered Chinese and it was on its way. I sat cross legged on my couch thinking about the events of the day it started out lile a regular day but it turned out to be the best birthday ever. Yeah thats right today is my birthday I turned 17 today. My phone dinged telling me I had a Twitter notification I saw that it was a tweet from Cole; ' Met some cool people today, so far Florida is the best stop we've had.. cant wait for the show tomorrow' I favorited the tweet and sent out a tweet of my own. 'Today has been the best birthday ever' I suddenly got two new notifications

My phone dinged again with another tweet Happy Birthday Cole tweeted.
I laughed and put my phone down when the doorbell rang and I got up and answered it I payed the guy and took my food and sat down and ate silently all alone. Thats the first happy birthday ive got since I was 14. I moved out two days after my 14 birthday because of some stuff between me and my mom ive been on my own since I was 14. A tear slipped down my face as I thought about my life and the things ive done. I finished eating and lit a couple of candles and turned on my music blasting All In My Head by Tori Kelly and put my hair up in a messy bun and curled up on the couch singing to nobody in particular to escape the troubles of myself.

---Next Morning------

I woke up on my couch the next morning with maddie curled up next to me. I got up and turned my music on and got dressed and made myself a smoothie and started on my hair and makeup since I was going to the IM5 concert today. I straightened my hair and did a smokey eye with a nude lip.
I went about my day and when it came to the concert I tried to stay my distance from Cole hoping he didnt notice me. I thought I saw him look at me a couple times but it probably wasnt me.

Now it was about 11 pm and the concert just got over so I started walking home. It was dark and scary and I stupidly thought I would walk to the venue.. bad idea I saw a pair of headlights coming close the car came to a slow and the window rolled down ro reveal Cole

" Need a ride" he asked with a playful smirk on his face

" Yes please" I let out a breath a didnt know I was holding in and got in his car

" You know you didnt need to hide at the concert" He said and smiled playfully

" You saw me?" I asked a blush creeping on my face

" I could pick your beautiful face out of a crowd in no time" He said beautiful? Did he just call me beautiful? I looked at my hands and blushed

" So can you hang for a while or do you need to be home?" He asked

" I can hang" I said shyly

" Good" was all he said then we pulled up at a fancy hotel he got out and ran to the other Sid of the car and opened the door for me. I thanked him as he helped me out of the car. We walked in the fancy hotel and got into the elevator and sat in silence as we waited to get to his floor. He walked behind me as we stepped out of the elevator then he guided us to a room and he pulled out a hotel room card out of his sweats and we walked in.

" You can lay on the bed and watch tv or something, I gotta take a shower real quick im gross" He said, I laughed and took off my shoes and crawled on the bed he handed me the remote then took his clothes and walked into the bathroom. About 30 minutes later there was a knock on the door and Cole walked out of the bathroom smiled at me then went to answer the door while putting his shirt on. I was mentally gasping for air because he has wet messy hair and no shirt on. I cleared my throat uncomfortably and he greeted whom was at the door. Dana and Gabe walked inside and kinda just stopped when they saw me

"Aye bro is this?-" Dana asked and Cole quickly replied with a yes

"Oh well nice to meet you im Dana" he said and Gabe kinda eyed me like hes seen me before I mean they all kinda have this wasnt my first IM5 concert.

" You were at the concert " Gabe finally said and snapped his finger and smiled " Ya youve been to like three of our concerts" He said

"You remember me?" I asked kinda dumbfounded

" Ya the first concert you ever came to you wore a black cut up bat man shirt and yelled at Dalton" He said and I giggled " And then the second time you came you came with a friend and Maddie and Morgan" He said
{ Disclaimer for those of you who dont know who Maddie and Morgan are they were legends back when IM5 first came out and I did actually hang out with them at an IM5 concert }

"Yup thats me " I said

" Man I remember that first concert when it was over me and Dalton fought over who called dibs on you and at the second concert Cole joined our dibs- oops" He said looked at Cole who a wtf look on his face with a small blush creeping up I giggled a little and was very flattered that the boys were calling dibs on me. We all laughed and talked and I for once in my life didnt feel alone.
