"I can't believe she would even do that. Like ew! She's like a doorknob and everybody's had their turn. Ugh-"I was currently listening to Rizzy as she ranted about the towns local whore, Joanne, and how she had heard that she had a threesome with some guys from our high school's, Brookside, football team.
That was until I heard my door creek open and I saw my mother giving me a stern look and I knew then I needed to hang up.
"And then she-"
"Um Riz, I'll have to see you later. My 30 minutes of phone time is over." I rolled my eyes and hung up before she could say anything else.
I glanced up at my mother with a irritated expression and she shot me a 'Don't look at me like that' look before she opened her mouth to give orders, as usual. "I need you to wash the dishes and to take out the trash."
"But I need to-"
"But nothing. Now go do what I say or you're not going to Bob's Rink tonight." She interrupted me and then walked off.
She didn't even shut my door...
I let out a frustrated sigh and dragged myself from my bed before I made my way downstairs to only be greeted by the sweet auroma of brownies.
Kyle, my big headed little brother, was licking a bowl that had the remaining brownie mix in it and I held back a snicker when my mother smacked his hand away from the brownies.
The kitchen had a barbie like decor with white and yellow everything. My mother had had an obsession for the color yellow for as long as I can remember.
"Hey, where's daddy?" I suddenly asked when I realized I didn't hear the tv on or his famous snort that you could hear every 10 minutes since he loved to laugh.
"Oh, he's still at work. He had to work on some extra things." My mom was fighting to pull out a fork from John John, my baby brother's mouth, when she answered me.
Time to do chores.
I grabbed the trash from the trash can and tied it up right before I made my way outside. The minute I stepped out of the garage, the sun felt like it was attacking me purposely and I let out a painful groan.
Here I was taking out trash when I could be doing better things like going to the beach and getting ice cream with my friends, but I had to stay home. My mom insisted that I stay home and actually be useful by helping around the house.
Right after I finished dropping the trash into the garbage disposal, I noticed a creame colored 1978 mustang pull up in the driveway of the house acrose from ours. A moving truck followed behind.
Oh my god.
My heart fell from my chest to my ass when saw the cutest boy. He stepped out the back of the car and took a good look at the beautiful house in front of him with the rest of his family, who seemed to be well manicured.
My staring must have been pretty obvious because the cute boy glanced in my direction and caught my eye, a wide smile spreading across his lips.
"Hi!" He shouted and waved his muscular hand in my direction and I awkwardly waved back to him, which became his whole family when they saw me.
Well isn't this great.
The new family came to the house, thanks to my mom running out of our house and encouraging them to come over while the movers began to unpack their things.
"It's so nice to meet you! We're the Martins!" The new family's mother greeted with a really excited manner and she began to introduce her family. "This is Matthew." She pointed to the tallest and most fit of the bunch whom I supposing is the oldest. "This is Lisa." The girl seemed around my age and had long beautiful brown hair along with beautiful eyes like the rest of the family. She smiled politely with a timid 'hi' before her mom continued. "And this Drew. "
Take me now, Lord.
He flashed a toothy grin and his eyes instantly landed on me. They lingered on me for a split second before his eyes darted away.
Oh no. What if he thinks I'm ugly?
I bit on my bottom lip gently and listened as the Mrs.Martin introduced her husband and they all began to talk in the living room of the house.
I sat around for awhile before I checked my watch and realized it was 6:30 P.M.
That would only gave me a few minutes to get ready and head down to Bob's Ring.Bob's Rink is probably one of the biggest rollerskating rinks around America. Rizzy, Sharon, and I go there every Saturday night. They have the best everything and I can't miss a night.
"It was really nice meeting all of you, but I really have to get going." I smiled politely before I stood up from the chair I was in and started making my way upstairs to my bedroom.
I rummaged through my closet filled with leotards, tights, and sweaters and pulled out a pair of Daisy Dukes with a plaid shirt along with some black converses.
After getting dressed, I whipped my wavy light brown into a pony tail and sprayed on a bit of Love's Baby Soft by Calvin Klein before I walked downstairs.
"What in the hell do you have on?" I heard a voice call and my eyes met with the eyes of satan himself.
I'm busted.
