I Have A Friend

          I have a friend. His name is Spike and he lives in the dark parts of my room, He tells me stories and protects me from the bullies. We’ve been friends for a while now but mommy and daddy just found out. They liked him at first but when mommy found out Spike had told me about their secret, mommy and daddy didn’t like him anymore. Mommy said I had to say good bye to Spike but Spike didn’t like that. I would never say good bye to Spike, he is my best friend! After a while, mommy and daddy became very angry when stuff would go miss or rearranged. They thought I did it but it was Spike! One night when I was mad that Spike had gotten me in trouble, Spike told me that mommy and daddy were going to send me away forever if we didn’t do something. I didn’t want to say good bye to Spike so I followed him to the kitchen and he handed me a knife. He told me what to do then said. “you know I love you,” “ I love you ,too Spike”

          I walked up stairs and opened mommy and daddys’ door as quietly as possible and Walked towards their bed. I saw mommy roll over but she was still asleep. I couldn’t get rid of mommy or daddy, I love them too! I began to cry. Spike didn’t like that. Spike yelled at me and took the knife, said he would do it. My tears woke mommy up. She asked “Whats wrong, love?” “Spike says you were going to take him away from me, please don’t take him away from me. I don’t want you to go.” I tell mommy.

Mommy looked at me funny and asked. “What are you talking about? Now listen here, Spike is not real. You need to forget him.” Spike really didn’t like that. He yelled “ you will not take her away from me!” and stabbed mommy then daddy.

          I didn’t want mommy and daddy to go away but Spike said they would send me away. I don’t want to go away. I want to stay right here, with Spike, forever.
