Travel and a new people

"Honey, you'll have to stay at Apple's house while we travel," Windy said while putting her daughter to sleep.

"What? Are you going to leave me again?" Scootalo asked crossing his arms.

"I know, I didn't want to have to leave you, but we need to go after your sister, I can't live knowing that I didn't make an effort, that I didn't care" She said running her hands through her daughter's purple hair.

"And you're going to find her, right mom?"

"I hope, I don't know what will be of our life without my Dash" She said feeling her eyes water.

Scootalo, seeing his mother cry, got up from the bed and sat next to her "Hey mom, it's going to be fine" She said putting a hand on her shoulder "I tried Scoots, I tried to be strong, for her and for you, but I can't, I can't pretend anymore that everything will be fine, that we'll be happy forever" Scootalo widened his eyes "What do you mean?" She asked "That real life is like that daughter" She dried her own tears "We don't know the next step and what will happen, but if there's one thing Dash taught me, it was that even when bad things happen you have to raise your head and continue" Scootalo smiled "And that's what we're going to try to do"

Scootalo laid his head on her shoulder, just enjoying the moment, Windy felt his daughter's regular breathing and noticed his eyes close slowly.

"But now it's serious young lady, it's late you should sleep" Windy said, Scootalo rolled his eyes and settled under the covers.

"Mom"

"Hum?"

"Can you sing the song you used to sing to Dash?"

Windy looked at her in surprise, remembering all the times she sang to Dash before bed, a small smile formed on her lips, and she began to hum the rhythm.

Scootalo looked admiringly at his mother "Wow, that was amazing" Windy smiled "Dash loved this song, I used to sing it every day.

"Good night Scoots" Windy kissed the little girl's forehead and turned off the lamp.

"Good night, Mom"

Windy closed the door behind her and saw Bow packing his suitcase "Were you singing to Scootalo?" He smiled "I was, she asked me to sing the song of the vague lumes" Windy approached "Dash loved this song"

"I know"

Bow put clothes and toiletries in his suitcase, he took a small picture of Dash, where she smiled after winning a soccer game "Why?" Windy smiled when he saw him saving the photo along with the things he will take for the trip "For luck" He said closing the suitcase.

"Tomorrow will be a big day, won't it?" Windy said sitting on the bed "Yeah, I hope he knows what he's doing, I don't want to disappear through the horizon" He said turning off the light of the lamp.

Cell Phone Ring

"What the hell, who's calling now?" Bow got up annoyed and saw the name Skies shining on the cell phone screen "Shit" He murmured before answering "Whow do you want?" He asked in a hoarse voice "Eai Bow, how are you?" Mr. Skies asked, the sound of a turbine in the background muffled the sound "Uh? You can't hear anything" Bow grumbled "I SAID, HOW ARE YOU?"
