You flopped onto Kazuha's couch, stretching your arms over your head. "Damn, your place is actually really clean."

Kazuha snorted, tossing his keys onto the counter. "You sound surprised."

"I am. I thought it'd be a mess with, y'know... three guys living here."

Kazuha raised a brow. "We're not animals, Y/N."

Before you could reply, Xiao called from the kitchen, "Speak for yourself."

You laughed, kicking your feet up onto the coffee table. "Okay, tutor, what's the plan? How we doin' this?"

Kazuha flopped down next to you, pulling out his phone. "Lemme just..." He scrolled for a second before showing you his screen.

You blinked. "Yo... why is this actually organized?"

"Because I'm actually smart?" Kazuha gave you a deadpan look. "You think they just let me tutor people for fun?"

"Tbh, yeah, kinda."

Kazuha rolled his eyes but smirked a little. "Alright, let's start with—"

A loud CLANK echoed from the kitchen.

"BRO, DID YOU JUST DROP THE ENTIRE POT???" Scaramouche yelled.

"IT SLIPPED," Xiao shot back.

Kazuha sighed, rubbing his temples. "This is why I don't study in the living room."

You snickered. "What, your roommates distracting you?"

"No, you distracting me." He nudged your shoulder. "Focus. We're starting with math."

You groaned, slouching. "Ughhh, why?"

"Because you're failing."

"That's a little dramatic."

Kazuha pulled up your last test grade on his phone.

...Yeah. Maybe not that dramatic. 😅

You sighed, slouching further into the couch. "Fine. Teach me, oh wise one."

Kazuha hummed, flipping open your notebook. "Okay, so do you even know how to—"

You squinted at him. "Are you high right now?🤔"

Kazuha blinked. "...No."

You raised a brow.

"...Yes."

You gasped, dramatic as ever. "KAZUHA. This is my academic career at stake."

"I can still teach, bro." He held up a finger like he just made the smartest point ever. "In fact, I'd argue I'm even better at teaching right now."

You gave him a long look. "Prove it."

Kazuha cleared his throat. "Okay. Quadratic equations—"

"Wrong."

He frowned. "What do you mean wrong?"

"I dunno, I just wanted to see if you'd get confused."

Kazuha closed your notebook and exhaled through his nose. "You're literally impossible."

You grinned. "And yet, you're stuck with me."

Kazuha shook his head, muttering something about how he should've charged double.

After a few more failed attempts at focusing, Kazuha set his head on the table with a dramatic thunk. "You're so unserious."

"I'm the most serious person in this room."

"Y/N, you spent five minutes trying to convince me that two plus two could equal five if we wanted it to."

You snickered. "Okay, but you almost fell for it."

Kazuha groaned into his arms. "I did not almost fall for it."

"You kinda did."

"I did not."

Xiao suddenly walked in, looking between the two of you with an eyebrow raised. "You guys actually studying?"

Kazuha sat up, sighing. "Trying to."

You grinned, a mischievous gleam in your eyes. "It's going great."

Xiao gave Kazuha a look. "Yeah, okay, good luck with that." He patted Kazuha's shoulder and walked off, the sound of his footsteps retreating down the hall.

Kazuha stared at you, eyes narrowing. "Okay. This time, we're actually focusing."

You sighed dramatically. "Fineeee."

The two of you locked eyes for a moment, before you both burst out laughing again. It was getting harder to stay on task. This study session was quickly becoming more like a comedy show.

Kazuha wiped his eyes. "Alright, alright. No more jokes. Focus."

You sat up straighter and grabbed your pen, ready to make an effort. Surprisingly, Kazuha kept his attention on the lesson. It was like he suddenly switched gears, focusing as if nothing had happened.

"Okay, okay," Kazuha said, holding up the textbook, "so quadratic equations are really just... solving for X, right?"

You nodded, grateful for his sudden seriousness. "Right. But it's the whole method part I get lost on."

Kazuha flipped the page with a serious air now, pulling out a pen and scribbling on the paper. "You want to find the value of X in a situation where you don't know it. Think of it like—uh, finding the solution to a mystery. Like, a detective on a case."

Your eyes widened slightly, impressed. "Wait... that's actually a good way to think about it. 😮"

Kazuha grinned, leaning back in his chair, clearly pleased. "Told you. I'm actually good at this."

You sat back, letting the explanation sink in. For the first time during this study session, it actually made sense. The chaos of his apartment was fading into the background, and you could feel yourself getting into the rhythm of the lesson.

Kazuha kept going, breaking everything down and making it easier to understand than it had seemed before. By the time he was halfway through the first example, you were actually following along. Who knew Kazuha could make math sound this simple?

"Alright," he said after finishing the first example. "You try it."

You picked up your pen, trying to remember what he just said. As you worked through the problem, Kazuha leaned back, watching you quietly. His usual laid-back demeanor was gone for now—he was 100% in "tutor" mode.

After a few minutes, you placed your pen down with a sigh. "I think I got it... but I'm still not sure."

Kazuha glanced at your work and smiled. "Yeah, you nailed it."

You blinked. "Wait, really?"

"Yup. You're good. I told you, I'm the smartest."

You grinned. "Okay, okay, I'm starting to believe you now."

He gave you a mock bow. "See? Told you."

Just then, Scaramouche came strolling through the door, clearly unfazed by the chaos around him. "Is it safe to cook again, or are you guys still making the place explode?"

Scaramouche waved him off. "Yeah, go ahead. We're—"

A loud crash interrupted him, this time much closer.

"BRO, THE POT JUST WENT DOWN AGAIN!" Xiao shouted from the kitchen.

You couldn't help it—you burst into laughter.

Kazuha groaned, resting his head on his arms. "God, you guys are impossible."

You grinned, picking up your textbook. "You sign up for this?"

Kazuha let out a long sigh. "I guess so.."
