The Trial of the Afterlife

There was once a happy family with a happy kids and happy pets. No one expected that the family would just be gone after a few years of living in that peaceful and loving house.

After that the house was for sale. A new family that wants peace and quiet . The owner of the house didn't tell them the story about the previous family that lived there.

The people nearby was really happy that there is a new family moving in that silent house.

Something happened that was so shocking they decided to get the house check with a priest. The dog was found paralyzed outside the house. They had the dog checked but there was no sign or fingerprints about what happened to the dog.

The new family stayed at the house for more than a week but stuff kept happening. The forest is too quiet at night. They got a new pet which was also a dog that barks at night for no reason.

One night the boy was awakened by the barking. He silently walked down the stairs seeing the dog bark at a lady. The lady was wearing a dress that had blood all over it. She was petting the dog. The dog was so calm and stopped barking.

The boy was stunned of what he saw and slowly walked towards the girl. The girl was happy that the boy wasn't scared of her. "How come you're not scared of me?" she asked the boy "Why would I be? My dog isn't scared of you so I'm not scared of you either." The kid answered. They sat on the couch and the boy kept asking questions

"Where did you come from?" he asked

"I came from this house, This was the house of my parents." She answered

"Why do you have blood all over your dress?" he again asked. This question made the girl snap and almost tried to stab the boy with a knife. The boy was scared but she quickly threw the knife away and explained to him what happened.

"I'm sorry, this was all from my memories. They force me to kill and sacrifice others. My memories were vanished because of the day of the prom. Over my high school life, I was rejected over and over again. And in prom, they embarrassed me in front of the whole class. And after the prom, they bullied me, hurt me, and even took advantage of me. When I was on my way home I got a call from the police. A robbery happened and my parents were found dead."

"It was really tough, I may not know you but I'm willing to help you I know I'm just a boy" he said to the girl

It was 3am, the girl vanished in thin air. The boy was glad that she was able to share her story to him.

The family was eating breakfast. The parents were happy. No creepy noises, no death and the forest were loud with all the animals. The boy knew why all this thing is happening.

It was lunch time, they decided to get out of the house and have fun but the boy rejected so that he'll be in the house all alone playing with the dog.

The girl knocked on the window of the house with a new dress clean and white. The boy was surprised that the girl was so gorgeous. Then the girl asked "Do you like my new dress?" the boy was so speechless because she was too charming. "Yes, you look gorgeous" he then answered.

The girl explained to him what will happen next

"Because of what I did last night talked to you, I shared my story to you. And I came here to tell you that I'm going away next 3 days. I'm going to heaven and I was meaning to ask you if you want to go with me you know the afterlife. I wanted to be with someone who would understand how my life works. I found you the guy I've been looking for this whole time."

The boy couldn't say yes because he knew he would leave his parents and his sibling "Let me think about it. Can I talk to my parents about this?" he asked

"No, if they found out that a ghost or a spirit lives here they would take you away. You need to decide for yourself. It's up to you"

After hours of thinking he finally gave up and said yes

The girl was so happy that he was able to get the guy to come with her. He changed his clothes to white even his shoes it was all white.

The gate keeper of heaven asked the girl "Why would you bring someone here that is still alive?"

"He accepted my offer to come with me here in heaven" she then answered

The gate keeper didn't let them pass because she or someone needs to kill him in the real world. The boy was shocked and he decided to jump off a building. But the girl stopped her from jumping and said "Why jump? Do you want to be my last sacrifice?" she asked

"Sacrifice? What is this sacrifice? he asked

"If I sacrifice you then you're dead. We can be together" she answered

That question cost him problems, thinking of the outcome and what might happen in heaven. He was so confused he then asked her "Who did you sacrifice over the past years?"

It was a moment of silence when he asked that

"My Friend's soul my classmates even our pet" she then answered

The boy was shocked then asked "What happened to them afterwards?"

"They're gone. As far as I know there in heaven or hell"

It's been tough for the girl because of what happened to her parents

The boy was so confused "Should I sacrifice myself to her or should I just kill myself?" he asked himself. The girl asked him "You don't want to die yet do you?" it was silent for a moment "Yes, but I don't want to leave you either." He answered. The girl was flattered

"I'm sorry" The girl said, and quickly stabbed the boy in the chest. The boy was shocked that he was stabbed by the girl

But something was wrong he didn't feel anything he didn't feel how painful that knife is

"Why didn't I feel anything?" he asked

"Because I love you and I don't want to see you getting hurt" she answered

And after that they quickly went to the gate keeper and showed him that he was stabbed with a knife.

"Nothing can stand between true love."

The gate keeper said that to them

And then he let them passed the heaven's gate

And that is the end of the story "The Trial of the Afterlife"
