The war room of the Alliance was filled with a tense silence after the battle with Gilgamesh and the emergence of Nihil. The weight of the enemy's power was pressing down on them like an invisible force. Every hero present knew that they had merely scratched the surface of the darkness threatening the Blended Realms.
Deku, his fists clenched, turned to his allies. "We can't afford to hesitate any longer. We need to strike first before Nihil strengthens his hold."
Godou leaned forward, his eyes scanning the ancient texts on the table. "Nihil's power is unlike anything we've encountered before. If this 'Void' is truly an entity that consumes reality itself, then we must understand its origins before engaging directly."
Saber nodded in agreement. "Charging in recklessly will only result in unnecessary losses. We need a strategy."
Kirito crossed his arms. "So, where do we start?"
Gilgamesh, who had been observing with his usual smirk, finally spoke. "I may have some knowledge on the subject. The Vault of Babylon contains many records of forgotten evils. This 'Void' sounds disturbingly familiar."
Deku turned to him. "Can you find something that can help us?"
Gilgamesh chuckled. "That depends on how worthy you prove yourselves to be. But... I suppose I am invested in this outcome now."
Bakugo growled. "Tch. Always with the 'I'm better than you' act. Just hurry up and do it."
Gilgamesh waved a hand, opening several golden portals as ancient scrolls, tablets, and relics floated forth. The others watched as he sifted through them. Finally, he pulled out a particular scroll, aged and covered in intricate symbols.
"This," he said, "is a record from an age long before even my time. It speaks of a primordial force known as the Voidborn. A being that existed before light, before time itself. The essence of the abyss. It does not destroy merely out of malice—it erases because that is its nature."
Mikasa frowned. "Then how do we stop it?"
Goku, who had remained uncharacteristically serious, spoke up. "I've fought a lot of strong enemies before, but nothing that could erase reality. If we're dealing with something like that, then we need to get stronger. Fast."
Deku took a deep breath. "Then we need to train. We need to push ourselves beyond our limits. Every one of us. If we want to protect the Blended Realms, we have to be prepared for whatever Nihil throws at us."
Saber placed a hand on the hilt of her sword. "Agreed. Then let us begin at once."
The Training Begins
The next few days were grueling. Every hero pushed themselves to their absolute limits.
Deku, alongside Goku, trained in high-intensity combat, refining his control over One for All and developing new techniques that merged his quirks with advanced battle strategies. Under extreme pressure, a new power awakened within him—Ethereal Surge, a technique that allowed him to harness pure energy from the atmosphere, amplifying his attacks beyond their normal limits. With every punch, the very air crackled with raw force, creating aftershocks that shook the battlefield.
"You're learning fast, kid!" Goku grinned. "But you gotta learn to control it!"
Deku, panting, looked at his sparring partner with determination. "I will! I can feel it... this energy, it's like the world itself is responding to me!"
Meanwhile, Kirito and Saber sparred tirelessly, honing their swordsmanship. Kirito, with his dual-wielding style, learned to incorporate magic into his strikes, while Saber tapped into more refined magical channels to amplify her legendary Excalibur.
Godou focused on understanding divine energies, training with Gilgamesh to harness the power of ancient relics that could counter the Void.
Mikasa and Bakugo trained in rapid combat maneuvers, refining their reflexes and attack strategies for potential battles against Nihil's forces. While their personalities clashed, their skills sharpened from the rivalry.
Meanwhile, Gilgamesh, despite his arrogance, aided in unlocking new sources of power hidden within the Vault of Babylon.
A Moment of Reflection
Late one evening, as Deku rested in the training grounds, Saber approached him, wiping sweat from her brow. "You are improving, Midoriya."
He smiled weakly. "Thanks. But I still have a long way to go."
She studied him for a moment. "You carry too much weight on your shoulders."
Deku exhaled, looking up at the stars. "I just... I can't afford to fail. Everyone's counting on me."
Saber placed a hand on his shoulder. "You are not alone in this fight. Do not forget that."
Before Deku could respond, another voice chimed in.
"You're too hard on yourself, Midoriya." Mikasa approached, crossing her arms. "You don't have to bear this all alone. We're here too."
Deku looked at her, surprised. "Mikasa..."
She hesitated for a moment before adding, "Just... don't be reckless."
Kirito leaned against a nearby tree. "Yeah, we're all in this together. If you fall, we all fall. So make sure you keep standing."
Deku smiled, feeling the warmth of their support. "Thanks, everyone."
A Dire Encounter – Deku vs. Nihil
Just then, the sky darkened unnaturally. A sudden, deafening screech echoed across the land. The training ground erupted into chaos as the air shimmered, and dark portals began to form.
Gilgamesh narrowed his eyes. "It appears our enemy grows impatient."
From the portals emerged shadowy figures, their bodies twisting and shifting like living nightmares. Their mere presence distorted the ground beneath them. The heroes quickly gathered, readying themselves for battle.
Then, a chilling voice filled the air. Nihil himself stepped through the rift, his presence suffocating, as if the very fabric of reality struggled to contain him.
"You think you can stand against the Void? Foolish mortals. Your struggle is meaningless."
Deku narrowed his eyes. "Then we'll prove you wrong!" he shouted, his fists glowing with the Ethereal Surge. "I won't let you destroy this world!"
Nihil smirked. "You are interesting, Midoriya. But do you truly understand what you face? The Void does not battle—it consumes. You are merely delaying the inevitable."
Deku clenched his fists. "Maybe. But as long as I'm standing, I'll fight with everything I have."
Nihil chuckled, his voice cold and empty. "Then let us see if you can withstand oblivion itself."
With that, the battle for the Blended Realms had truly begun.
