Last night after my meeting with Serena at our balconies, I set my alarm clock at six thirty. I really don't know why. I deeply regret it though. I stumble as I get off my bed and groan at my clumsiness. I fetch my trousers and t-shirt and wear them hastily as I walk to my bathroom to repeat my morning routine. I brush my teeth, wash my face and smooth my hair back. I wink at my mirror and laugh with myself for how weird I really am.
I grab my jacket, my backpack and some money off the table and wait behind my door. After two minutes I hear the door of the flat next to me, opening and I get out as well.
"Good morning, Harry." Serena greets me and I give her a grin.
"Good morning to you too." I nod. "Are you going to work?"
She sighs. "Yes, unfortunately. I wish I could stay home and have some sleep."
"I feel you. I'm suffering from insomnia as you know..." I rub, awkwardly the back of my neck.
"Yeah...Okay, I have to go. See ya around." She waves to me and I wave back.
"Okay, see ya." I see her taking the lift and disappearing from my view. I sigh and take the stairs.
I walk to the closest coffee shop and get in. I order my coffee and take a seat, next to a big window. I like coming here in the winter. I love seeing the rain hitting the glass and creating puddles on the road. I look up and I see a blond, skinny man stepping in the coffee shop. "Niall?!"
The blond turns his head and grins when he sees me."Ah...Harold. It's been so long" He pats my shoulder and I laugh.
"Indeed. I missed you lad." I say to him and he nods.
"I missed you too. Does anyone sit here?" He points at the chair across me and I shake my head.
"No, no one. You can sit, and we can catch up."
"Thank you. I'm going to get a cup of tea and I'm coming back." He informs me and stands in line.
Fifteen minutes later he sits in front of me with a steaming cup of tea in front of him. The steam makes his face blurry, but his ocean blue eyes still sparkle with youth. I've missed him.
...
