Laughing echoed from inside yet honestly I didn't feel like I had much to laugh about. The LaRusso house was felt with warmth, laughter, cheering and hugging. But right now I needed to puff on my pink lemonade vape and take a minute. It was Johnny and Carmen's gender reveal and I was so excited for them but there was a little voice in the back of my mind that wouldn't stop taunting me. Telling me that I have nerve to even think about going into the LaRusso house after what I did to Sam. It was two days after what had happened, a Saturday. I'd bruised up Sam's face, my own sister. A while ago I wouldn't have given it a second thought but now it was different. What if dad knew? The faint sounds of footsteps broke me out of my thoughts. I looked over to see Miguel coming towards me. I took a breath and tucked my vape away before he came.

"Hey, you coming in anytime soon?" He asked me

If only he knew what you did to his precious girlfriend... The voice in the back of my head taunted.

I shook it off and turned to him, putting on a small smile, "I was just taking a minute. I'll come in soon." I stated honestly. Before I could think about it I asked, "How's Sam?" Shit, why did I ask that? I'm just going to seem more suspicious now, especially seen as I'm asking her boyfriend that question. "She's finee.. why are you asking?" Miguel replied then asked, his voice rising slightly with skepticism. I sensed it instantly and brushed it off, "I haven't heard from her for a few days. I was just curious. I'm trying to make more of an effort after everything yanno?" Miguel nodded, thankfully he didn't push anything. "I get that, I'm glad you're both trying to work things out. It took me and Robby some time but look where we are now." He began with a small smile, then we heard the chatter inside get louder. "You gonna come in? I think they're gonna start the gender reveal soon." Miggy asked. I nodded and smiled, "Wouldn't miss it for the world. How you feeling about being a big bro?" I teased, prodding him as we walked toward the house.

"You joke but I'm quite excited. I'm happy for Sensei and my mom." Miguel replied, nudging me back as we walked inside.
