Travelling to that one place I  feared,

there really was no getting out,

for most; a bright, happy place it was,

although for me; my mind it would never allow.

Almost at its glorious lights and fantastical colours,

the smells of cotton candy and warm summer air surrounds me,

Dear madam's and sir's

please pay your entry fee and come inside for amusements that are free,

here we are, my place of fear.

Walking over dust and straw,

freaks and masked creatures stared,

I feel now as I want to sink through the floor,

but no, I am not that coward, I must pursue,

the further we went, the more It glared.

Now, facing It face to face,

I felt every emotion on its edge,

feeling that this entry could be my final,

what was It I was so afraid of,

Now its eyes stared deep into me,

I cannot move, I cannot be free of It within me.
