No one's POV
The hours passed slowly, with the trio serving more customers and dealing with their various complaints and demands. The restaurant seemed to never quiet down, always busy with the flow of people.
Craig, Molly, and Tweek worked diligently, their feet aching and their eyes drooping from exhaustion. The only thing keeping them going was the thought of the money and food they would earn once the night was over.
After what felt like an eternity, the restaurant finally started to quiet down. There are only a couple of customers left in the restaurant, and the trio, now even more tired, knows that their work is nearly done.
Craig looks around, noting the few remaining customers.
Craig: "Finally, it's almost over. I can't wait to get out of here and rest."
The restaurant is nearly empty, save for a few straggling customers. Craig and Molly look particularly exhausted, while Tweek looks close to passing out from exhaustion. With little time remaining in their shift, they know that they're nearing the end of their long and challenging night.
The trio then went to the counter where Daniel was cleaning, Daniel noticed them coming to her and then stopped what she was doing.
Daniel: "Tired?"
Craig nods weakly, barely able to stand straight.
Craig: "You have no idea. We're exhausted."
Tweek, looking like he could collapse any second, nods in agreement.
Tweek: "I feel like I'm about to pass out..."
Daniel: "Just what I thought. How about you three sit and take a small break."
The three quickly take the offer, practically collapsing into nearby chairs. Sitting down gives them a momentary sense of relief, but they're still exhausted.
Tweek: "Say..uh Daniel, how did you and Molly meet?"
Daniel: "Well, it was a long time ago, I'm not sure, but it was good until tragedy happened..."
The trio picks up on the change in Daniel's tone, realizing that the story is about to take a more serious turn.
Tweek, being more sensitive, speaks up gently.
Tweek: "If you don't mind me asking... what kind of tragedy?"
Daniel: "Well.."
Daniel then looks at Molly, whose head is peaking until she then puts her head down
The two boys senses the pain in Daniel's voice and look over at Molly. They can practically feel the sorrow coming from her. It's clear that this tragedy is still very much affecting her.
Craig, speaking softly, tries to prompt Daniel to continue.
Craig: "It's okay... take your time..."
Daniel: "It was a few years back when I was twelve at that time..."
The two listens intently, their eyes fixed on Daniel as she begins to share the details of this tragic event. While Molly just tries to ignore the story that had affected her life when she was little.
BACKFLASH
---
As a teenage kid, I was helping my mom in the bakery. What I had to do was deliver to customers' houses every day.
Mom: "Okay sweetie, here are two baskets of bread, I don't want you to get hurt on the way, so be careful."
Daniel/12yr: "I'm always careful, mom. I'll be fine, I promise."
