I chose to become a nursing assistant because that's something I always wanted to do since I was a little girl. But things happen. But in the long run I decided that this time nothing would stop me. I'm going for my dreams accomplishing something that I've started.

I will be the best nurse I can be. It's call few and far between that reminds me why I chose to be in this field of work. The calls you can't forget.

Obtaining a certificate in nursing assistant trains students to provide quality care to residents in nursing homes. Upon completing the course students will qualify to take the competency exam to be a certified nursing assistant. Nurse assistant training prepare the nursing assistant for state certification and to function as an efficient, knowledgeable and safe CNA.

Instructors deliver the course content through lectures, demonstrations and exposure of us students to actual nursing procedures and techniques while in a clinical setting. We learn a variety of skills such as taking and recording patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration; assisting with the activities of daily living, including bathing and hygiene, using the toilet, etc. students knowledge is evaluated on an ongoing basis through test and quizzes.
