    Just the fact that Dean said that made me feel amazing. It gave me a burst of confidence I didn't know I had. I check the auditions dates and locations. There were none in my town which didn't surprise me because it is a small town. I look at the auditions again. The only one that was close enough was in London. I checked the date for it and it said that it was on Saturday, 20th June. That gave me a week to get ready. I read about the audition.

"The X Factor auditions will next be in London on Saturday 20th June.

 Do you have what it takes to be the next singing superstar? To be in with a chance of making it through to the UK’s most talked about entertainment show you will need to prepare a verse or chorus of one or more songs acapella.

 You don’t need to have applied beforehand, or have received any email of information - ANYONE WHO TURNS UP WILL BE SEEN! Just come to our auditions, and make sure you turn up early as audition slots are on a first come, first served basis."

   This meant that I didn't have to call ahead or anything, I just had to be there. I went downstairs to go tell my mum that I was going to try out. 

"Mum?"

"Yes Olivia?"

"I'm trying out for X Factor and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me."

"Of course I'll come with you!"

I smiled and hugged her. "Thanks mum!"

   I ran back upstairs to call my best friend Amanda. She picked up her phone and I told her to come over because I had to tell her something. I didn't  After I hung up I thought about what song I was going to sing. I made a mental list of the songs that I knew off by heart. I crossed out a lot because I knew I couldn't sing them. I could only think of one song but I didn't know if I could pull off so I waited until she came over to help.
