Chapter 3

**A week later**

Selena's POV:

I stood at my locker placing two envelopes with Justin's Demos in them in it, I had already sent two off to la records and another one which I can't remember, I was doing a good thing for my best friend but I'm not going to tell him it was me yet, maybe later. I smiled shutting my locker seeing Justin running towards me yelling my name.

Justin's POV:

I had got a call from someone named scooter Braun this morning and he wanted to talk to me about my music, I didn't know how he had heard it but I arranged to meet after school with my mother. I think I ran all the way to school I had to tell someone and I wanted that person to be Selena. I stopped as I reached the main entrance catching my breath before I started running again pushing past people, seeing her I yelled her "SELENA!" she waited by her locker as she shut it looking at me, I stopped as I reached her catching my breathe. "I... Have... To... Tell... You... Something" she nodded and watched as I finally got my breath back, I noticed she had a smile on her face.

"I have a meeting after school with scooter Braun" her smile didn't leave her face as if she already new or something.

"that's great Justin" she throws her arm around me and hugs me, I smile and returns it.

"I don't even know how it happened, I just got a call this morning" I smile pulling away looking at her.

"Maybe someone finally noticed your music" she smiled as we both walked to English.

"But how? It's not like I post it online or anything" she just simply shrugged and walked into the lesson, I followed her in and sat on my seat thinking about how this all happened. 

**At Lunch**

"Justin that's great! I'm happy for you" Taylor Lautner said from across the table, I gave him a smile and we did our hand shake, I looked around the cafeteria for Selena but couldn't see her anywhere giving the occasional smile to my friends as they all shared their excitement for me. I wanted to share this experience with her, my best friend but she was nowhere in sight.

Selena's POV: 

I sat at the bench outside as I thought to myself I didn't want to be in the cafeteria right now, I sighed softly to myself as I think about what this would mean if he did have a music career. A tear slipped down my cheek I would lose my best friend, the guy I'm in love with, I wiped the tear away quickly as people walk pasted me. Maybe should tell him how I feel before he leaves... My thoughts were cut off as Britt walked over to me.

"Selena are you okay?" I look up at her giving her the best smile I could. I just give her a nod; I talked now I would burst into tears.

"Are you sure?" she sat down next to me giving me her not convinced look. I sigh softly looking down at my hands. 

"Is it crazy to fall in love with your best friend?" I give her a quick glance; I couldn't help the tear that fell as I shook my head at her, "it is right?" she simply shakes her head.

"No, I don't think it is... Are we talking about Justin?" her eyebrows were raised as I looked up at her shrugging.

"I guess so, but he could be leading anytime soon and he has so much in line for his future and don't want to restrain him"

"Selena if you love him you have to tell him, would you rather him leave and not tell him and have that guilt on you?" I shake my head.

"No I don't, I just... I don't know" quickly wipes my cheeks getting up. "I have to go" I walk away to my car, it wasn’t the end of school but I just couldn’t go back in there so I went home.
