My Quince (15)

A quince is known when a girl turns 15 and is becoming a woman. Originally you have 15 chambelanes also known as guys and one of them is the main one. The purpose for it was to choose one of them so they could become your husband, well at least that what my family told me. As this went on for generations it changed. Now they have damas also known as girls and do dances to show at the party. So there is the waltz and the surprise dance people do. Now people do this for the party or the money they get. The presents or because they are simply forced to, like I was. It can also be all of the above. This is a tradition in many families like mine. God forbid one of the girls to skip it , well those were my grandma words not mine. well some girls do dream of having this since they were little but I wasn't one of them. I will admit it though if I wouldn't of been forced to do it I would of never met these 5 idiots and wouldn't of had the best months of my life, in a way I was glad I did it. If your mom tells you to do something might as well give it a try you never know who you might meet or what the outcomes will be. Listen to your mothers they know best, well sometimes.
