1857, Grove Town, England.
As Lily stares out of the window, into the woods of Grove Town, she thinks about what her family's new house look's like. She sighs and looks at her mother, Father and older sister. She looks back at her mother who's wearing a purple long sleeved dress with white gloves.
"Are we almost there?" Lily asks her mom with her green eyes looking deep in her mother's blue eyes. Her mother sighs with a smile and plays a little with Lily's blonde locks.
"I'll ask my dear," She say's and looks up at the driver.
"Sir Dunkun, are we close to our destination?" She ask's with a sweet smile.
"Ellie, don't bother him. He's driving!" Lily's father, Angus, say's while fixing his top hat and bow. Ellie rolls her eyes at him and looks back at the driver once more.
"I assure you we will be there in a jiffy", Sir Dunkun say's looking back at her quickly. She smile's with a nod and look's at Lily. Lily nods understanding her look and continues looking out the window.
The carriage stops with the horses whining and moving there heads. Lily gets out quickly and looks around her. Trees all around her with flowers and vines on them and the tall, green, grass filled with creatures. And it's all theirs with no one around unless you want to take a long ride. She stops and faces the brown bricked house. She looks at its newly placed windows with white trims, it's newly placed doors, and it's size. She jumps up and down with glee and starts running to the front door.
"Lily! Don't run or you might fall and get your beautiful dress dirty!" Ellie says with a sigh. Megan, Lily's older sister, gets out and folds her fan.
"Why do we have to live so far away from the town, mother?" Megan whines. Her mother looks back at her and raises an eyebrow.
"We've discussed this already. Your father needs the quiet time for his work. And plus, they gave us this house for free!" Ellie says with a wide smile.
"Why would they give it to us for free? Is there something wrong with it cause I don't believe they're that nice", Megan says confused and nervous.
"Hmm. Don't know. Though I did hear a rumor about it being haunted by evil spirits but it's just a rumor", Ellie says nervously. Megan nods and turns to face Lily's direction.
"DID YOU HEAR LILY! THIS HOUSE IS HAUNTED AND THEY'RE GOING TO GET YOU!" Megan yells at her sister. Her mother gasps and smacks her on the arm with her fan.
Lily, confused and scared, looks at her mother torment her sister then looks back at this house with a different idea.
She looks at it with fear.
Sir. Dunkun comes with a bunch of luggage and sets them down on the porch. He wipes of any dirt on his coat and gives her a small smile.
"Goodbye Lily", he says with a nervous smile. Lily gives him a confused look but before she can say anything, he leaves back to his carriage.
"Thank you for the ride", Ellie says to him. He just nods and leaves without another word.
"Strange. He acted differently right now than in the carriage. What an odd man", she says and turns to look at Megan, Angus, and Lily already going inside the house. She frowns at how impatient they are but follows them in.
Later that night
"Did you girls finish unpacking your things?", Ellie asks while washes their dishes. They look up at her and nod in unison. She smiles and looks at Angus.
"How about you?" She asks. Angus sets down his fork and wipes his mouth.
"Yes dear, I did. Everything neat and tidy in my office. Did you do? Hmm?"
"Of course! What shame it would be if I asked and didn't even do it myself! Goodness gracious, Angus", she says and turns back around to wash the dishes. Angus gets up and walks down the hall to his office.
"I'm going to go and sleep. Thank you for dinner and goodnight", Lily says, gets up and walks upstairs.
"Goodnight dear!" Ellie shouts before Lily disappears upstairs. Lily closes the door to her room and lays down on her bed. She stairs at the blank, white ceiling and falls asleep.
Next morning
"Wake...UP!" Lily jolts awake and looks around her room to see her sister standing beside her with a mad face.
"You are one deep sleeper. Come on! Mother got us some fabric to sow dress!" Megan says excitedly. Lily sighs but gets up and changes to go down stairs. They meet their mom on the kitchen table and sit down.
"Good morning girls. Here you go", Ellie says and hands them each a big piece of fabric. Lily gazes over her piece and decides what she will make. She grabs her scissors and starts cutting out its main shape. She stitches and cuts till she likes it to her perfection.
"Done!" Lily says impressed with her work. Megan laughs and takes the doll.
"This is what you made? How pathetic." Lily lets a tear roll down her cheek and gazes at her sister with anger. She snatches the doll away from her and runs up to her room. She cries on her bed and can hear her mother once again punishing her sister. She looks at her doll with small sniffles and image what it would be like if it could be alive.
She sighs and dozes of into a small nap.
She wakes up with something moving her hair.
"Your finally awake", something whispers to her in a very low and creepy voice. She looks up and jumps back a bit to see her doll moving with a stitched smile on its face.
"How are you talking?!"
"You made me able to talk", it says still in a whisper.
"B-but who are you?"
"I'm what you people call, a evil spirit. I saw a opportunity with your doll and possessed it."
"Are you nice?"
"Such a curious child, aren't you?" it says with a very wide smile.
Over the next few weeks, Lily and the doll become friend and don't go anywhere without each other. The talk to each other and play with each other. It was all fun and games till one faithful night when everything changed.
"Lily! Hurry up!"
"Okay i'm coming! I'm just forgetting something!" Lily says and goes upstairs. She looks around and grabs her coat.
"Okay im done!" Lily says as they get in the carriage. The doll looks outside the window with rage.
"She forgot about me! After all we've been through!" He screams and breaks the window.
"You will pay, Lily."
Later that night
Lily opens the door to her room and looks around her room with confusion and fear. Her room is a disaster. Her bed is flipped upside down, her dresser knocked down with her cloths everywhere, the window broken, and her doll standing in the middle of it all.
"Looks like you forgot something else." Lily looks at him with wide eyes and steps back.
"Where you going? I thought we were FRIENDS! Such a shame you have to die like this", he says with a smile as he levitates the broken foot of the bed and shoots it threw her chest. She gasps for air as she tries to take it out.
"Good bye Lily", he says with a blank expression on his doll face as she falls to the floor.
