One Bite Changed Everything

Chapter 5

Katrina P.O.V.
After dinner Tina and I shifted to go for a run and to explore the area. We ran for about an hour passing the edge of the territory Damien has layed claims too and I have to say it was impressive. The territory was huge and has a lot of greenery for a wolf to run through. When we got back Damien was waiting for us looking pissed.
"SHIFT" he yells at us. Throwing cloths at our paws we pick them up in our mouths and shift behind the trees. Looking at Tina I noticed that these were not our cloths they were guys cloths. Tina was in Ash's cloths based on the smell and I had to be in Damien's they smelled like woods and fresh cut grass and it smells great. When we step out I immediately question him.
"Why did you yell at us to shift we didn't do anything wrong?" I ask him.
"No gaurd knows you are here you could have been killed" he growls out.
"OK there is no need for that we would have been fine we are the best fighters in our pack. There is no way we would be killed." I say back to him.
All he does is huff and tell us to go to bed.
"Wait" Tina says "where are our cloths. We will need them for tomorrow and Kat kinda lied about the fighting part." She states.
"Your cloths are being washed so you will have them in the morning and what do you mean she lied?" He asked. I glare at her hoping she would not say anything I want him to believe we are both great fighters not just one of us.
"Well she is the best fighter in the pack I don't like to fight as much I am good but no where near as good as she is." Tina tells him. Damien laughs and just tells us to go to bed again cause we need to get up early.
So I fall asleep in a king size bed I am sharing with Tina.

When I wake up in the morning I am happy to see that our cloths are piled neatly at the bottom of the bed. When I look out the window I see it is still dark out when I look at the clock it is only 6:45 and our alarm was set for seven so I got up and dressed. When I was fully dressed I decided that I would wake Tina up. So I did what any best friend would do I rolled her right off the edge of the bed she landed with a soft thump on the floor. Then she bolted straight up and if looks could kill I would have been skined alive.
"Why did you wake me up?" Tina snarled at me.
"Because we need to get ready for training and I got bored waiting for you to wake up." I told her.
She just huffed grabbed her cloths and walked into the bathroom to change. When we were both finished we went out to the field they told us training would happen in and started to warm up.

About an hour later around 8 o'clock everyone else started to file out into the field. Tina and I stopped doing drills and turned to look at the groggy people coming out of the house.
"They do not look ready to train" she whispered to me so they wouldn't hear her.
"Yeah they look as if the just woke up" I respond.
Once Damien and Ashlyn came out everyone started stretching to warm up.
"Everybody up on your feet and pick a sparring partner" Ashlyn yelled above the noise. Once everyone was lined up and practicing Tina and I looked around to see what they were doing. It was not right their form was horrible and their stances weak. Damien came over when he saw we were not sparring.
"Shouldn't you too be practicing not watching you said you wanted to participate" he asks.
"Yes but we can't help to notice how out of shape some of these people are and that what they know will not help them in a fight" I say back to him. Ashlyn must have overheard what I said because the next thing I know she is in my face.
"I know how to train people. Besides if you don't like the way we train you can leave" she says fuming.
"We never said we did not like your training but we think we can help" Tina says to her. Ashlyn gets in her face and looks about ready to tell her off when I step in.
"Ashlyn why don't we work together to train them? Let us help" I say to her.
"We don't need your help" she screams lunging at me.

I quickly jump out of the way and get ready for her next move. When she comes at me agian I duck and kick her feet out from under her. I get on top of her and grab hold of her hands to stop her but she bucks her hips and flips us over. She roles off of me and back onto her feet I don't want to hurt her. The next attack is a punch that I block and I notice that her stance is not strong. When she goes to punch again I duck it and get behind her then I kick her knee to put her down. I jack her arm into a hammer lock and push her face into the mud. As much as she is kicking Ashlyn can't get up from were I have her.

"What are you doing Ashlyn?" Damien bellows at his sister.
"Why don't we just calm down OK there is no need to get upset" I say to him.
Ash comes up from the back of the crowd and looks between Ashlyn, Damien, and I.
"Why don't we let Kat and Tina train us they are more then capable" Ash asks Damien. By now I have let Ashlyn up and she storms into the house hearing her mates words.
"I believe that is a good idea Ash what do you girls say?" Damien asks looking at us.
"Why not" I say "tell everyone that they need to be in this field by seven tomorrow morning and I don't want anyone late."
I don't wait for a reply I just walk into the house and head for Ashlyn's room.
"OK what is your problem with me?" I ask her walking in and finding her with tears in her eyes.
"My problem is that you came hear and took over everything and you will just hurt my brother. I will not let you do that" she tells me.
"Look I did not mean to come off that way and how would I hurt your brother" I say with confusion in my voice.
"You will hurt him because you are not his mate she died years ago with our mother and father" she growls at me.
"What are you talking about that girl was not my mate" Damien screams from the other side of the door.
"What are you doing here Damien and what do you mean?" Ashlyn asks him.
"That girl was who mother and father wanted me to marry and I came up to check on you your my sister after all" he tells her. The next thing I hear is the door slam shut as Damien leaves the room.
"I guess I owe you an apology then I am sorry I attacked you" she whispered I almost could not hear her.
"It's OK I would have done the same thing if I was in your place" I laugh telling her.
"Really you probably think I am a bitch now tho" she says to me.
"How about we start over then. Hi my name is Katrina people call me Kat" I say to her holding my hand out to shake.
"Hi I'm Ashlyn" she says grabing my hand to shake.
"Hey do you want to help me train the coven tomorrow Ashlyn?" I ask.
"I would love too" she replies. We laugh and hug then walk out go meet everyone else I the field to talk.
