I guided Jennifer into the house and into the kitchen, helping her sit down, before sitting next to her, placing a protective hand on her knee.
“SO Jennifer,” Mom started, “Tell us more about yourself!” SHe took a deep breath and smiled.
“Well, I’m 19, an only child, my father left me and my mom when they found out I was blind,” she said, “My father couldn’t deal and then my mom passed, so it’s just difficult. Cindy really is all I have.”
“Awww, sweetie, I’m sorry to hear that,” Dad said. Jennifer turned her hand to my face and I nuzzled into it, kissing her palm.
“Whoa, now what is this?!” Mom asked, gesturing between us. Jennifer’s face flushed and I giggled a bit.
“Well, Jennifer and I like each other mom,” I said, “We’re kinda dating now!” Dad got his concerned look on his face.
“This isn’t gonna be easy for you two, you know that right?” he asked, “Not saying anything bad, but the press are brutal!” I smiled and held Jennifer’s hand.
“We’ve discussed it dad,” I said, and Mom just smiled.
“Well, anyone who can make my son THIS happy is good in my book,” she said. I smiled and Jennifer seemed to relax.
“Well, as long as you two are prepared for the backlash,” Dad said, ‘I’m happy for you son!”
“Thanks, dad,” I said. I was happier than a kid in a candy store. I had this amazing girl, mom and dad were happy with it, so I was thrilled. We ate lunch in great conversation and comfort, Jennifer’s hand never leaving my thigh. It was near the end, I felt her hand trail up my leg, landing on my inner thigh. Oh fuck, oh good fuck, shit, that just sent a jolt. Holy shit, fuck me now. I jumped a bit and she giggled, before taking her hand back to my knee. After lunch, I took her hand and led her out back and softly pinned her to the back door, kissing her hard on the lips.
“Jennifer,” I whispered, “So not fair...” She giggled against my lips and let her hands trail my body , before gripping the crotch of my jeans in her hand. I moaned, almost too loudly and closed my eyes.
“Baby, please, before I do something, I regret,” I whispered, kissing her neck softly. She moaned softly and took her hands back around my neck.
“Nick, I am ready when you are,” she whispered, “I care about you, so much....”
“I care about you too, but I have a promise, love,” I whispered, kissing her lips, “I just, I wanna wait.”
“I know, I’m sorry, Nick,” she said, and her face seemed disappointed.
“It’s okay,” I said, “I wanna be with you too, I just, I want it perfect, and right now, this soon, is well, too soon...” She nodded and smiled.
“I understand baby,” she said, “But um, I should call Cindy, and get home.”
“Oh, baby, please stay,” I whimpered. She smiled and felt my face to guide her lips to mine.
“I have to go home sometime,” she said, “And I can come back tomorrow....”
“Fine,” I grumbled, and dialed the phone and called Cindy.
“Hello!?” she asked. I smiled.
“Hey Cindy, Jeny is ready to come back now,” I stated.
“Alright, thank you Nick, tell her 15 minutes,” she said.
“Okay, thank you Cindy,” I said. She responded politely adn we hung up.
“So how long?!” Jennifer asked me.
“She can’t come, because the world is about to be invaded by aliens, so you have to stay here with me,” I joked.
“So about fifteen minutes?!” she said, with a giggle. I smiled and kissed her lips.
“Uh huh,” I said, kissing her again. I guided her into the house and we sat on the couch to wait, kissing and holding one another the whole time, til Cindy came to get her. We exchanged many kisses and goodbyes before they were pulling away. I just sighed and leaned against the door frame, as I watched them walk away.
“You alright, sweetie?” Mom asked, suddenly appearing next to me, placing her arm around me. I nodded and let her hug me.
“Yeah, I just, god mom, I’m crazy about her,” I said, looking up at her.
“Oh sweetie, I know, I can tell,” she said, smiling, “I would put money on this girl being the one.”
“The one?!” I asked, then my eyes shot open, realizing she meant the one I’d marry, “Oh, mom, I’m not thinking that far ahead yet.”
“You will,” she said, “I can see it in your eyes. Your father still looks at me the same way.” I smiled, thinking of that look Dad gets when mom walks in a room.
“I dunno mom, I just wanna take it one day at a time,” I said, “And right now, I just miss her.” I know it’s crazy she just left five minutes ago, but I did. I missed her smile, her laugh, the way her lips felt on mine, the way she smelled.
“I know sweetie," she said, “Just remember that tomorrow night, you leave on a plane to Chicago." I nodded and sighed, before standing up. I hugged my mom tight, kissing her cheek.
“Thanks mom," I said, “I love you."
“I love you too, sweetie," she said, kissing my cheek back. I smiled and headed upstairs to start writing. I was on a roll and just started writing like a mad man. When it was done I had a great song written. I was thrilled with the results. And going to bed that night all I could think about was Jennifer. She was just amazing, and I am falling in love with this woman.
