The night felt like it was suffocating him, his anxiety eating him up from the inside. It was hard to breathe, and the silence seemed to make his thoughts louder.

Rishi had somehow convinced Mr. Sharma to come with him, saying they needed to bring some disinfectants and medicines for Samaira and Ada. It was a lie, but one that worked.

Vidyut couldn't even look Mr. Sharma in the eye. Every time he tried, he looked away, unable to face the guilt building up inside him.

He knew what he had done. He knew the weight of his actions and the consequences they had brought. With both of Mr. Sharma's daughters hurt, and one of them barely hanging onto life, Vidyut couldn't bring himself to look the man in the face. It was too much.

The guilt gnawed at him like a constant reminder of everything that had gone wrong. He could hardly focus as he waited for the phone to ring, for the call that he hoped would bring some relief, some small shred of hope that he could breathe again. The uncertainty was unbearable.

His head hung low as his thoughts raced uncontrollably. Images flashed before his eyes—scenes of what had happened, possibilities of things getting worse, and his mind kept running towards the worst possible outcomes. It felt like a spiral that wouldn't stop, and it was suffocating him, making everything feel heavier.

The atmosphere around him was chaotic, filled with the smell of medicine and the sterile scent of the hospital. But in the midst of it all, a new coldness entered the room when someone walked in.

Vidyut didn't even notice the change. He was too focused on his girl, too consumed with worry and fear to think about anything else. His attention was completely on her until a man barged in, losing his temper, shouting at the nurses who were doing their best to calm him down.

The tense atmosphere of the hospital turned icy at the certain presence, making everyone know of the darkness he'd bring within himself. The man was flaring in anger, no less than a raging bull barely in control, not even trying to hold himself back. As if a single chance was all he needed for him to turn this entire building into piles of ashes.
