Hope you guys are enjoying the story and thank you so much to all the people who have been voting for this it means so much to me!
- Knight :DGareki's POV
After a few hours of getting used to our new snowy surrounding Yogi and I had overcome the awkwardness between us and were back on speaking terms. Although everything that happened before still puzzled me I let it go to focus on the real reason I was here, to complete my first not-so-solo mission and earn my real 'place' among the crew of Circus, Air Ship Two.
Hirato had given us a thermal insulated tent for sleeping in the cold climate that i swear never wanted to be put up, EVER. I'd been struggling with it for at least twenty minutes and i was ready to take out my gun and start shooting the damn thing. "Son of a bitch!" i yelled it was freaking impossible. I flopped down into the light, fluffy snow, if i couldn't even put up a frick'n tent how the hell was i gonna hike all the way through the Himalayas and back again with shit ton of supplies and questions storming my brain at every second.
"Gareki! Have you finished putting up the tent yet?" Yogi had finally returned from collecting all the supplies off the ship. I sat up to look at him, the light from the ship was reflecting off his hair making it look more golden then usual, it was truly beautiful. ( Okay let me explain for a second i was still extremely confused about my sexuality at the moment cause up until i rejoined Circus as an official member i was sure i was as straight as a pin but now i was starting to question myself cause of my feelings toward Yogi, there was something, a new kind of feeling, i just didn't know what yet and i chose just to let it unfold. ) "No..." i mumbled, it didn't matter who it was asking that question, the fact was i couldn't put up a frick'n tent and there was no way in hell i was about to admit that to anyone. Yogi set down the supplies next to the door and came walking over to me. By now i was standing up, hands in pockets, and just hoping that Yogi would just put up the tent and not bother to ask any questions about why it wasn't up yet. Of course that's not what happened.
"Uh...." Yogi sighed "You know this is your mission, I'm just here to help. The least you could do was put up the tent." He pouted at me and i looked away avoiding his gaze at all costs. Yogi set to putting up the tent and after a few minutes he said with a solemn face, more serious then usual "Gareki, if you didn't know how to put up the tent you could have just asked me, I'm always here for you if you need me." i looked at him wide eyed, Always here for you, I processed those words. No one had ever been there for me, at least no one had ever said that to me. A warm feeling welled up inside me and my cheeks started to turn crimson, luckily there wasn't much light up at this altitude at this time other then the light from the ship so Yogi couldn't see my face. Yep this is definitely a new kind of feeling.
Yogi's POV
'Okay Yogi calm down' i told myself 'You said that you would tell him how you felt on this mission so no covering up your tracks and pretending that you didn't mean that' i looked at him to see how he had reacted have expecting to see a scowl, instead he was completely silent and facing in a whole other direction. Well i guess that's better then a scowl, right? i thought to myself. I turned back to the tent and continued to put it up, in about 3 minutes i was done and i went off to search for Gareki who had sneaked off right after i poured some of my feelings on him.
I entered the ship hoping he was in here for it was becoming darker, the temperature was dropping even further, and the wind was picking up. "Gareki!" i called "Where are you? Don't you want to have some dinner before we have to go to sleep?" Then i heard a mumbled "Just a second" and Gareki burst out of a hatch in the floor of the ship carrying pillows, sleeping bags, a lantern, and crackers. "What! I didn't know that was there!" i gasped at the fact of, one where'd he'd just come out of, and two what he was carrying out of it.
"Yeah, i came in here to grab the food we needed and i found this hatch." He said smirking a bit, which was extremely rare for Gareki. "I had been wondering where the sleeping bags were, Hirato had said they were on here but when i couldn't find them i'd thought he'd just forgot to have the sheep load them onto the ship, i guess not. Good thing to otherwise all we would have had for warmth while sleeping is my blanket (Nyaonpowerna blanket to be exact) " i said a bit sheepishly "Well i would have fared perfectly fine without a blanket" He said returning to his normal stubborn self, but if i wasn't mistaken i could have sworn i saw him blush a bit.
3rd Person's POV
The rest of the evening went fairly smoothly. Everything got prepared for tomorrow and there was no longer any awkward moments until it was time to sleep. Since they needed to save power in the ship they couldn't sleep there and had to sleep in the tent. Of course this wouldn't be awkward at all if the tent was a bit bigger, but after a few apologies and blushed faces later they finally settled down for sleep not even slightly prepared for what was to come tomorrow.
Hope you guys liked that chapter. I've finally gotten out of my writer's block and now will try to update a lot more but i can't promise anything, sorry. Also a shoutout to everyone who's read this story up to here, you guys are the reason i keep writing this story! Catch ya later! - Knight :D
