-Author's Point of View-

[The next day]

"So... What happened whenever I left?" Louis asks as he presses a spoonful of mashed potatoes to Harry's lips. He then raises his eyebrows and bites his bottom lip with a sad smile. "Because I didn't leave you and wouldn't have left you if you were in a condition such as this," the lioness confesses as he motions towards the newly replaced bandages on the royal's abdomen, and Harry lightly chews the potatoes and raises a hand to signal that he is done eating.

Although Louis was told about Harry's wounds to keep him from freakin out, no one told him how he got them.

Louis sets the spoon down into the bowl of potatoes and leans over to place the bowl onto the bedside table.

Harry sighs and bends his index finger for Louis to come closer.

Alexia huffs in her sleep and slightly stirs in her bassinet that is close to their bed.

Louis cuddles up to Harry's side and looks up into the green eyes that mean so much to him it hurts just thinking about it.

Harry sighs again and rubs his forehead with his left hand. "Where do I begin," the royal curls his right arm around Louis' waist to keep him close. "I guess thing's got bad whenever you left."

"How bad," Louis immediately pipes. "This bad?" Louis asks, pointing towards the bandages.

Harry shakes his head and groans. "No... Whenever you left, Richard had then just noticed you, so it kind of sent him into a fit. I went up to Zayn and finally managed to tell him about Richard's escape, only to then realize that it was him standing right in front of me," Harry explains, and he can somewhat feel the anger beginning to pulse through him like it did then.

He breathes through it though, and Louis strokes Harry's arm, that had stiffened around his waist, to relax it once more.

"It was definitely a surprise, to be honest. I didn't think that he would have risked getting caught a second time just to try and murder my brother. If I was put into that situation, you could bet fortunes that I would have never set foot in this castle again," Harry confesses, and Louis nods his agreement. "So, whenever I saw him cowering in front of Zayn, I kind of," Harry trails off, feeling stupid and dumb for overreacting the way that he did. "Snapped," Harry finishes his thought, and he can feel Louis tensing beside him.

"Be-before you continue, I would like to ask something," Louis stutters but still sounds disappointed all the same, and Harry bites his lip. He knows it is coming. He can feel the lecture being formed inside Louis' brain. He definitely feels like a child now.

"Sure," Harry sighs as he slightly hangs his head, and Louis sits up from laying beside the king and turns to face him.

"So, what you're saying is, is that you snapped on him even when he was defenseless beneath Zayn's power?" Louis asks, and Harry says nothing as he nods in shame.

He feels bad enough as it is, but now being scolded by Louis makes him feel like horse-shit.

"What did he do to deserve such treatment? Besides accidentally shooting Niall. Let me just get that out of the way before you use that as a defense or reason for doing what you did," Louis raises an eyebrow and begins to cross his arms.

"Oh believe me, you don't want to know what I did to him," Harry confesses, and Louis' ocean-blue eyes go wide with shock and even deeper disappointment.

"But now you're going to tell me, Harry. Since you clearly don't want me to hear the rest of the story," Louis demands, and Harry winces beneath his cold stare.
