After a long trek towards the shining city, we finally reach it, and I am ordered to keep quiet by Him.
I lower my head in submission and jump whenever the large black walls rumble with movement, and a loud roar sounds, "Who goes there!"
Ed looks up and returns the question with an answer, "I am Ed Sheeran, body guard of the King, coming back into the kingdom to return to my duty!"
The guard nods and walks away, and seconds later, the walls rumble again and two sides of the black line separate, causing the shining metropolis to glare through the opening.
My paw instantly rises to shield my face and He sighs and smiles. "Good to be home," he says as he pads into the gate and is followed by Ed and me.
I take in my surroundings, and my feminine mouth hangs in a gasp as I look at the multiple, tall buildings, sparkling, statue fountains, and every person that were dressed in expensive clothes, and beautiful hair-cuts and perms.
Some pairs of eyes focus on me as we walk past them. But then their eyes trail towards Him, and they immediately look away and press forward towards their destination.
I was certainly confused by this, and I look beside me to see Him glaring at everyone who even thought about glancing at me and my differences. Although no one really knew about my differences.
Yeah, my fur hasn't been washed in a couple days, so what? At least I don't look like a person who takes baths after every dirty situation or a dusty step. Those types of people really piss me off.
My paws slip on someone else's claws and I tumble forward, my chin slamming into the sparkly pavement and letting out a groan of pain.
He grabs me by the scruff with his teeth and growls. "Be more careful and aware of where you step. Please," He mumbles into my neck fur, and I nod, not wanting to stress my mouth.
He sets me back on my feet and sighs, continuing his pace and I follow along with a sad Ed. I let Him go ahead a few more steps before I slowly creep towards Ed and prod his shoulder with mine.
"What's wrong?" I ask in a quiet, girl voice and his blue eyes lift to meet my curious and concerned gaze.
"I'm restricted to talk to you. It's his orders," he states and continues to pad forward, me still sticking beside him.
"Why? What makes him so special?" I ask in a whisper, and he raises his eyebrows in surprise.
"You don't know who he is? What pride were you banished from again?" He answers my question with a question, and I huff.
"It doesn't matter where I came from, but it does matter to me that you're sad, and it's confusing me that you can't talk to me," I explain.
He opens his mouth to talk, but He interrupts and calls out, "Louise, we're here. Stop talking to Ed, he is in trouble."
He stops in front of a small, red building with dark, black words "Hiring Building" and I shudder.
"Now," he begins, and I turn towards him and look up into his blazing, green orbs, "You will meet a kind woman who will take you in, but we have to make you look tattered and homeless."
He raises an eyebrow, and my blue eyes widen whenever he lifts his right paw and smacks me hard to the ground, me landing with a thump. I cough and was surprised whenever the people who were walking by, didn't even stop to help or fight back.
But before I can think of a question, I am being jumped upon and clawed in the face a couple times with small 'sorry's every time.
I blink a few times after He finally gets off of me and turns to Ed. They both run away, and before He was completely out of sight, he turns and roars.
