Author's POV:

The air in Y/N's tiny apartment felt suffocating, like it was pressing against her lungs, squeezing the breath out of her. Her fingers trembled as she checked the door lock again-click. Still locked. But the fear thrumming under her skin didn't ease. It clawed at her ribs, tightening around her chest like barbed wire.

Her legs gave out, and she dropped to the floor, back sliding against the wall until she curled into herself. Her arms hugged her knees so tightly, her nails dug into her skin. Every breath was ragged, shallow. Her eyes darted around the room as if shadows might move on their own.

Her body shook uncontrollably.

Then-

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Her breath caught.

Muscles froze. Eyes wide. Her heart slammed against her ribcage.

Knock. Knock.

Louder this time. More aggressive. Like a command.

Then came the voice.

Low. Smooth. Too calm to be safe.

"Kitten..."

Her soul nearly left her body.

She clutched her mouth, trying to muffle the gasp. Her voice trembled like broken glass.

"N-no... not again... T-Taehyung... sir is here..."

Silence, then a darker tone.

"I'm giving you one last chance, sweetheart," he growled, voice deep with warning. "Open this fucking door. Or I swear on your trembling little body, I'll break it down."

Y/N scrambled to her feet, stumbling back from the door like it might burst into flames.

"No! Stay away from me!" she screamed, voice cracking with desperation.

A deep, mocking chuckle vibrated through the wood.

"Aww, my baby's scared?" he cooed, cruel and sweet. "Come on, kitten... open up for Daddy. I promise I won't hurt you... unless you beg for it."

She choked on a sob, tears spilling as she backed away toward the hallway.

"Please... just go away..." she whispered, barely audible.
