"Ah, my Queen has arrived." My husband and King, Tazamunda, said with a smile on his face.
"Good evening, my husband." I said as Taz kissed both of my cheeks, then my lips, and took my hands in his. "My love, where were you this morning?"
My faint smile went away and I took my hands back from him. "I was getting prepared for tonight, love." I looked away from him and walked to the window where I saw some of our people arriving.
"What's the matter?" He walked up behind me and kissed my neck slowly. His lips sent chills down my spine.
Taz lifted his hand and removed the hair that had fell on his neck. It was jet black, silky, and extended a few inches past his shoulders. He usually wears it in a low ponytail or have the hairstylist come and do it in a nice braid.
"Nothing, my king. Just overthinking I suppose." He chuckled, clearly he was amused. "About? There's nothing that you should be worried or stressed about. You're the queen."
"I know, I know. I apologize." Taz slowly snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him, we looked out at the kingdom together from the balcony window.
"It's quite alright, my love. Just don't hold anything from me. That's all I ask." He whispered in my ear, it sent chills down my spine again.
"I understand." I nodded and pulled away from him. "I'll go see how the ceremony is coming along." He turned around to face me. I couldn't quite read him. "If you insist." What?
My king placed his hands behind his back with his blue and silver robe covering them. His head was tilted over the the side and he looked serious. Really serious. I've only seen him look this way when there were enemies around him.
"I am not a fool, my love. You don't want to tell me why you're acting this way? Fine by me. But don't sit around and think I won't know what is wrong with you." Did he honestly know?
"I apologize again, Taz. I didn't mean to offend you. It was not intentional." I bowed before him while he watched me closely. He gave me a nod. "You are dismissed."
