Imagine:
It is Valentine's Day and your boyfriend, Bruno Mars, is on tour on the other side of the country. This is your worst Valentine's Day ever! So you decide to take off work and spend the day with your best friends and go out to the movies.
Your phone stars to vibrate in the middle of the movie so you step outside to answer the call.
You: Hello?
Your Boss: Hello [YN]. I know we told you to take off today, but we really need your help...business is booming today and we need more waiters/waitresses to help.
You: I'm kind of in the middle of something right now...
Your Boss: I really apologize for the inconvenience, but we really need your help now.
Knowing that your job depended on it, you replied "I'll be there in 20 minutes" and hang up the phone.
You tell your girls that you are leaving to go to work and go home to change into your waitress uniform.
As soon as you walk into the door, your boss hands you an order and rushes you to the kitchen.
Your Boss: Chicken Fingers and Bacon Cheddar Cheese to Table 2!
You want to cry when you read the order because that is Bruno's favorite. You think, "Why can't he be here with me....well, that's what you get when you involve yourself with a superstar."
You sigh as the cook hands you the plate and yells "Order for Table 2 ready!!"
You walk over to Table 2 and say "Chicken Fingers and Ba-"
You look up and see Bruno. You gasp really loud and he gives you a big bear hug while he pulls you down on his lap.
Bruno: [YN]!!!
You: Bruno!!! Oh my God, what are you doing here?!?
Bruno: I did a lil somethin somethin to my schedule so that I could be with my baby today *kisses you*
Everyone in the restaurant: AWWWW!
You laugh as your boss came over to the table and smiles.
You: so you planned all of this...
Boss: Uh huh
You: so that I could see....
Boss: uh huh
You: *hugs your boss* thank you! You're the best!
Boss: *smiles* you're welcome [YN]. You don't have to work for the rest of the night.
You: *bear hugs your boss* thank you! C'mon Bru!
Bruno: wait! What about my food!?! Umm...can I have this to go?
Everyone in the restaurant laughs while the boss gets a container so Bruno can pack his food. When he's done, you two walk out the restaurant.
While walking to the car, Bruno kisses your forehead.
Bruno: I love you. *smiles*
You: I love you too. *smiles*
You: *in your head* maybe this isn't such a bad Valentine's Day after all.
