Chapter 2 "Running into some old friends"

Gabe's P.O.V

'I'm free from that hell hole finally!! Thanks to Eliana' I thought to myself. 'I really got to thank that girl. Maybe when I see her again. Hopefully I'll find her.' I found some money in my pocket thank the devil. I walked into a convenient store and grabbed a pack of cigarettes. I'm already dead, not like it could kill me anymore. I gave the cashier the money and walked out. I took my lighter and lit my cigarette. I walked down the street, keeping my hood down. I saw a brown headed girl walking ahead of me, so I caught up with her pulling her into one of the dark alleys. What better way to celebrate my escape by taking someone's life. I smiled evilly and took my knife out putting it against her throat. "Looks like it's your unlucky day girl." "It can't be....Gabe?" "How the hell do you know me!" I looked at her face...it can't be. "Lucy?" My old high school crush before the big accident. "Gabe...you..you died. You can't be alive." "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have pulled my knife on you. I haven't seen you since that day." "How could you still be alive?! You died in my arms!" "Lucy..this isn't a good place to explain. Can we go somewhere else? I'll explain everything." "If you don't kill me." "Deal." She took my hand, led us out of the alley, and down the street into a house. Which I'm guessing was hers. I followed her into the kitchen where she made some coffee for me and tea for herself. She set the cup down in front of me. "Talk." "This is gonna be a lot to take in." "I don't care. Start talking." Since she was my closest friend in high school I knew I could trust her with pretty much anything. "After that night where I got into the bad drunk driving accident and you watched me die. These scientists supposedly took my dead body and injected serums in me. It gave me these abilities. Like demon abilities. I got posses humans, fly, turn invisible, I have super strength, and a lot more. These scientists injected more humans for the government. Apparently once we were "trained" they would put us in the military as unknown secret weapons. Luckily I escaped a couple hours ago. I'm on the run and they're searching for all of us." "Wow." "Yea I know." "Well I don't want you roaming the streets while they're on the look our for you. You're staying here." "Thanks." "I'm going to bed it's late. Find a room upstairs, just don't trash it" she smiled at me. I forgot that smile and I missed it. Wow I'm a weird demon. "I owe you." "Shut up no you don't." She started to walk upstairs but turned around and came over to me. She gave me a big long hug. "I'm really glad you're back." She let go and walked upstairs. That's how my night ended.
