Alli POV
My handsome British nightmare stood less than 5 feet away from me. It was too close yet too far. He turned and recognized me immediately. He came closer and awkwardly greeted us. He gazed into my eyes, expecting a reaction. I turned away. Whatwas wrong with me? We broke up a little over 6 months ago and it's still awkward. Why do I still get nervous around him? Keep it together Allison! I noticed his face turned down, feeling a little ashamed. Gaby began talking to make it less awkward while Laura and I ordered the ice cream. We sat outside on a bench, Nath and I sat next to eachother. Awkward!
"Soooo." Nathan started.
"Please don't talk to me." I spat out.
"Why?" he asked
"We are over, aren't we? It would be awkward." I told.
"Only if you make it." He leaned closer to me. I scooted closer to Laura saying
"Well, I have to go with my girls somewhere." I left him alone sitting on the now empty bench. I, now 20, decided to start college. I will be attending NYU tommorow. I'll be studying to be an eye doctor there. I'll miss my friends and my boyfriend. I thought about this as I was about to tell Laura and Gaby that I'm moving. No, I couldn't ruin the wedding. I also need to tell Chloe and Sophie. Besides, Jake goes to NYU for engineering. I'll be close to him. But what about Nathan. No, I have to stop thinking aobut him. He has a girlfriend. I have to stop. Focus Alli. There's the wedding tommorow and then NYU after that.
