That damn light. At first it filled me with hope, now all it means to me is the thing that started all this horrible crap.
You see,I should have been (and believe me I wanted to be!) dead. But for some reason I was stuck being covered in this unnatural glow. So I did what any moron like me would do. I walked towards it. Immediately this, shall we say, "situation" turned strange.
"Steve!",the voice boomed,"Come closer my dear child!" Steve? How did this person know me? Where the hell was I? "Come now lad,all your questions will be answered here." Well alright. I walked ever so slowly forward.
I hadn't really taken in my surroundings until now,let me tell you this place was bland. Like office cubicle bland. There was nothing in the room I was in. Was it a room? I suppose so. Were there more? Jesus,so many questions. Whoever this guy is,he better deliver on those answers he promised.
"Take a seat child." A seat? This place was empty except for this guy and the chair he'd already taken. All of a sudden there's a seat a few feet away from his. I must be losing my mind.
I pull up the chair and sit. There's an awkward silence. Awkward for me anyways. This other guy acted like I was an old friend or something. He made me feel uneasy,I felt like I shouldn't be here with him.
"How are you son?" "..I'm um..I'm fine. How..how are you?" This guy was so unnerving,Christ.
"I'm fine. You know,it's been quite a while since I last saw you." Last time? Who is this guy? He smiled. He looked like a kind old man when he smiled. But there was something else...he looked..tired. Extremely exhausted in fact. "Where are my manners? I haven't introduced myself. I am God. You can call me Father." How would you react? Maybe you can guess how I did. Maybe not. I guess you'll find out in the next chapter.
