Jenna up in her room, with no sound but her sharp nails scratching against the leather bag. She packed everything needed for her sneak out tomorrow morning after chores and after, Jenna went to sleep with a pillow my her side and a picture of her parents on her chest...right where her heart was....right where they belonged. Jenna woke up, with heavy eyelids and a tired accent on her face. She turns over her sheets only to find the little picture of her parents flipped over. A note, a note she had never seen, never looked for, never searched.... "Happy birthday sweetie! All ready 8 years old! Here is a picture to put in the heart locket we gave you! Love, Mom and Dad". Streaming, streaming so fast, Jenna's tears were coming down like water rockets. If you were to look into them, you would see a hurricane, blowing strong sad winds of horror and an ocean with so much power that it could flood an entire city and flush it to the ground. That's the feeling of true sadness, something Jenna had never experienced in her past life before. "8th birthday, the locket, the heart, the picture" the picture was supposed to go into her heart locket which she received on her 8th birthday. She never though of it, never even tried putting the picture in the locket....never. She looked through her luggage bag full of accessories and found it. She put the picture in the locket, it sparkled, almost in a magical way. This was no ordinary locked, a dazzling silver locket made with emerald strips wrapped around it, all in a heart shaped locket smothering a picture of her parents in it. She stopped crying, only to see the time, 8 a.m, she gets up without Ms.Sarah there to yell her up from bed.... again. She goes to the breakfast table only to find Ms.Sarah and the other maids making breakfast. She eats up her eggs, bacon, and toast with delight and hunger. She is told to do her chores but in an unexpected way, a...a...nice way. Ms.Sarah seems....nice. She doesn't bother the strange behavior and does her chores as told. Jenna now knows why Ms.Sarah was smiling, guests, Ms.Sarah brought guests in for breakfast, meaning that Jenna would have to do almost double the dishes. This was not a few people, this was over 30, then again, it was a mansion. Jenna tried very hard to finish the chores in a timely manner and that she did, she asked Ms.Sarah if she could take a walk, implying that she was going into the city to pick up bread, which Jenna over heard Ms.Sarah squabble about the other day. Ms.Sarah, giving Jenna a nasty look, she excepted. Jenna went up stairs to get her "bag full of money for the bread" and headed out the door with her cute black long lace boots. She left the mansion, but into the city she did not go, she went to the path, the one that led to the junk house, a place not very known. Jenna walked and walked, her feet not aching because of the comfy boots. She had arrived, once again she entered the building. Slowly walking up the stairs, her back towards the wall and her eyes as sharp as a hawk, her skills as sneaky as a fox, and her technique...flawless. Jenna walked slowly and carefully up the stairs hearing creaks and cracks in the old wooden steps. She reached the top, the top of the floor. She opened the door so gently, so swaying that no one could here a word. Nothing, nothing behind her, nothing next to her, and nothing in front of her. She still went slowly, very slowly she saw the box full of the books and keys. Jenna slid her foot closer to the box, her left foot brushing against the wood floor. She stretched her right hand and grabbed the box. She took it and started exiting the old junk house, she goes down the steps, still slowly Incase of someone being in the house. She is now on the first floor close to the door, reached the handle, her back against the entire house other than the door. She where a chain saw from behind her go off and opens the door immediately, Jenna runs. Not even looking to see who it was, just running, he runs after her, the man with the scars, him again, but this time he wasn't letting her run away. Jenna kept running, she was a excellent track runner and she did many sports when she was in middle school. She kept on running until she didn't here the chain saw, but she was fooled, cooled by the trick. He was right behind her, she turned around and started screaming when the man turned on the saw and tried cutting her head off. Jenna was now running towards the city, in which she had to get the bread, screaming in fear of the man. She heard the saw stop again but this time she would not egg fooled, she kept running until she met the bread bakery. She thrusted the door and told the man who was selling bread that she wanted " a whole loaf of French bread" "I'm in a rush so if you please do it as fast as possible that would be very appreciated" Jenna belts out without hesitation. She takes the bread and pays the old gray bearded man and approaches the door when the man says "Your Jenna! You're the girl your father told me about when he used to fetch bread here before he passed. He told me many great things about you." She then remembered an image, all most like a record playing her mind. Her father really did come here for bread when Jenna was little. She remembered because she would always tag along with him and always ask to get her beloved strawberry ice cream at a store close by. She nods and gives a fragile smile. When she steps out the door a little bell goes off above her. She peeks up and sees a bell, one that is very familiar, except this one is different this one has a key that makes it ring. She slowly gestures her hand toward the bell and takes the key from above. Jenna slides the key into her pocket and starts her way to the house. Searching the streets with fright that he might be close, hiding, looking, just like a coyote about to jump on its prey, she starts to move. Just to cut of her train of thought comes a smell in the air. The air smells as blood. Jenna redirects herself into reality and starts to move back to the house after some search. He must have got stuck in the woods. Maybe I was too fast for him to catch up. Maybe he got attacked by something, something I didn't see? Jenna thought of all the possibilities. But none of them seemed to click. She was already 2/3 way home when she hears a scream, more specifically, the scream of a little girl. She starts to jog, not run but jog. She reaches the house with nothing attacking her, she opens the door and the first sight she sees is Ms.Sarah with her hands crossed and her thick eyebrows in a form of rage. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" she exuberantly yells. "There...was..a..a........long line in the bread store. It was packed in there. The line even went out of the store! Uh...maybe there was a new type of bread?! I got the French type you like though." Ms.Sarah gives a grin and takes the bread and sets it on the counter. Jenna goes to her room and gets her box (with the keys and books). She takes the key out of her pocket and reads the inscription. KINDNESS. she uses the key to open the book and reads the first few sentence. "Ah, I see, you found the key for KINDNESS. As a father I must teach my child the basic things that make you a good person, things that make you special, things that not all people have. Kindness is the real key to life. Being kind is not only a wonderful trait but it helps others learn the trait and share it. Kindness is giving and being loving to others. Who likes mean and cold hearted people? As you realize the books get small and smaller, because I give you less and less information about each of these traits so that you can figure what they are by yourself in the real world. It's not always a nice happy world out there, but you can help make it that way. Jenna realizes that it wasn't a "few sentences" that was the whole book! It was only 2 pages thick! But the others were like a prehistoric dictionary. But now she knew why. Jenna would find true kindness and use it to help others, to guide others, and share love, just like her father once did.
