Once we finished putting the kitchen boxes on the van, we dressed in appropriate clothing so we can go to, "The Henderson's." I wore that "cute" black lace top just like they told me to, and some light denim shorts, and my black sandals. Sierra put on some dark denim skinny jeans, and a hot pink tank top with light blue lace on the top, with her pink Toms. Nicole wore her light denim, distressed skinny jeans, but she rolled them up to look like capris, and she wore her black top with pink little flowers. Jenny wore some high waisted shorts with a black tank top with all the 'face' emojis, and a pair of her black sandals. Julie's outfit consisted of a bright blue, sequin tank top, black shorts, and some blue sandals with a white bow.
While we were done getting dressed we took a group selfie on my phone, then on Sierra's. We all did crazy poses, but it was a cute picture, I'm totally going to post it on Instagram.
I posted the picture to Instagram when we got in the car. After a minute it already had over 10 likes! I guess my 5,067 followers really liked the picture as well.
After I posted the picture, I kept getting notifications from people liking, and commenting on it. While my phone was going off I really wanted to listen to music so I asked mom to turn on my favorite One Direction album, 'Four' which she did. All of my friends like One Direction so we were singing the songs in the car while heading to the restaurant. When the first song, "Steal my Girl" came on we all started singing... Even my mom knew a little bit of words.
Once the fourth song on the album ended we were at 'The Henderson's'. We all unbuckled and hopped out of the car.
"I think I'm going to order something different today," I said thinking about what I should get.
"Yeah me too," said Sierra.
When we got in the restaurant a lot of people were here. The sign near the entrance read, "Please Wait to be Seated," with a stop sign on it.
A waitress walked by saying "It'll be just a minute."
"Okay," Mom answered back.
While we were waiting me and Sierra went on our phones to connect to their WIFI so we didn't have to rely on cell service. The cell service around here is horrible! Once we got connected I kept on getting Instagram notifications. I also got one text message again, it was Daryl.
"Are you guys heading down here yet, or are you still at your house?" The text read.
"We're going to be heading down once we eat at 'The Henderson's' again... I don't want to move," I replied adding a sad face.
"Yeah but you have to,"
"I know, I'm just going to miss it up here."
Finally after five minutes of waiting for the waitress to seat us, she finally came. We got the last booth by the window! After we sat down she handed us all the menus, I actually looked at it this time because I wasn't sure what I was going to order. There were so many options, it was hard to choose!"
"Now I see why I always order the patty melt, there's too many choices," I said.
"Yeah I don't even know what I want either, should I get breakfast? Or should I actually order something for lunch?" Asked Sierra, cluelessly.
After I looked at all the burgers on the menu, again, I decided I wanted a bacon, cheeseburger with lettuce on it. When the waitress came back we all ordered. I got the burger with some tapped rootbeer, again, that's my favorite. Mom order her usual, the farmer's omelette, but instead of coffee she ordered some ice water. Sierra got some eggs with an English muffin, with skim free milk. Julie ordered a ham and cheese omelette, with sausage links to go with it, and a Coke to drink. Nicole ordered a helping of macaroni and cheese, with some ice tea. The last one to order their food was Jenny. She ordered tortellini with some sauce, and some Coke as well.
While we were waiting for our food I asked mom again if we were going to Daryl's house.
"Yeah probably... If I decide to go to Ohio, ask them if they can meet us downstate, because we're going to be renting a hotel room in lansing and wake up early tomorrow, and see if we can make it to nebraska. It's already 1:11 in the afternoon, I didn't expect us to take this long to pack, so we need to just go and not stop on the way a lot.
When I asked Daryl if he could meet us downstate somewhere he told me he had to ask Diana, his mom.
"Where at?" He replied.
"Mom Daryl is wondering where."
"Um... Lansing?" She said making it sound like a question.
"Lansing," I told him.
"Okay, I'll ask mom." He replied.
"Okay."
