Chapter 25: {part 2 of photography: surfing}

"Oh shit" I hear waking up. Ashton.

"I'm guessing we aren't supposed to be seeing this" I hear Michael say.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him" Luke growls.

"Hey. Hey. Go outside you two. I'll wake 'em up" Ashton shooed them out.

"Michelle, wake up. It's 7:30"

"I'm up" I groan. I go to sit up but Calum's arm holds me down.

"I'll uh, leave you two to get up" Ashton says turning around.

"Calum, I have to get up" I sat quietly in his ear.

He's up, I know he is. I've slept in the same bed with him long enough to know he woke up five minutes ago.

"I don't want to let you go" he pulls me to his chest again. "I want to hold you in my arms forever"

"Calum" my heart aches enough, I don't want him to make it worse.

"Okay, okay." He sits up. "But only if you cuddle me more often?"

"Sure" I try to hide my smirk.

Maybe he needs me just as much as I need him. Maybe this really is all just an act. But damn does it seem real every time he's with her.

We hurry down the stairs where all the boys are waiting and they look at us. They almost glare at Calum but I'm confused as to what they think he did.

We walk the mile or so walk to the house and there is isn't a lot of talking. The boys just mainly glare at Calum behind his back while he awkwardly walks next to me.

We reach the house and I change into my bikini. I put on my flip flops too before throwing my hair up in a pony tail. I remove the smeared make up from yesterday and put on some waterproof eyeliner and mascara.

I grab my board from my closet and I grab my surfing shirt. I glance at Calum's flannel thinking about whether I should give it to him or not.

I shove it under my mattress before leaving my room. I carry my board and surf shirt downstairs and into Ashton's pick up truck that is in much better shape than mine.

Calum checks me out before shaking his head and hoping in the back of the truck. I hop in across from him and Ashton gets in the drivers seat. Luke calls shot gun before Michael grumbles and hops in the back with me and Cal.

We drive to the beach which is about a mile and a half away. The radio blares through speakers as we find a place to park.

We park on the side of the street and I grab my board and hop off the back of the truck.

We walk through the disgusting sand making me cringe with each step.

"Come on, the sand can't be that bad" Calum laughed from next to me.

"It's absolutely disgusting. It gets between your toes. It gets all over your food and drinks. It gets everywhere on your body and it just feels so gross"

"It's not that disgusting"

"It is extremely disgusting!"

"Whatever you say princess"

"Shut up!" I shove him and he almost falls over.

"Okay okay" he surrenders.

I put on my surf shirt before stepping into the water. Ashton gets his waterproof camera and stays in the shallow end.
