Mitch's POV
3 years have gone by. 3 years have gone by and she's probably forgotten about me, forgotten about Pentatonix. I miss her.i want her. I need her. Pentatonix is on the verge of ending. I mean we all love Meghan but she's no where near as incredible as Kirstie was. I need to see Kirstie again. I was so busy in my thoughts that I hadn't realized that my feet had carried me to her bakery. It had been redone and was quite big now. I didn't want to walk in yet my body told me that it was right. I'm now 25, single and lonely. I still have Scott don't me wrong, but everything just seems dull without Kirstie. I walked up to the counter to find her friend Dylan."What an I do for you hon?" She asked seeming to not recognize me. It's strange. I haven't walked into this bakery for years, but I'm still famous. How could she possibly not recognize me?
"I would just like a dozen vanilla cupcakes." I said casually. She nodded and grabbed some delicious blue cupcakes. "What's the occasion?" She asked grabbing a few more cupcakes. "Oh my birthdays tomorrow and my band and I are celebrating." I smiled. She looked up at me as she put the cupcakes down on the counter instantly noticing me. She than glared at me and said, "why are you here?" She asked folding her arms and scowling. "Oh I just came to casually grab some cupcakes for my friends. You know, I'm living life." I said folding my arms sassily.
"Oh don't play that one with me Grassi. I know you're here to see Kirstie." She said pointing towards me. I tilted my head sarcastically and said, "Kirstie? Doesn't ring a bell. Oh right she was the one who told me to stay the hell away. Ah yes well if you can't already tell, I am. So please just back off." I than slammed my money on the counter, grabbed the cupcakes and walked away.
Kirstie's POV
Dylan walked into the kitchen furious. I literally have not seen her this frustrated before."Your son of a gun ex boyfriend just walked in." She huffed folding her arms. Ex boyfriend? Does she mean Jere- Oh. Him.
"What did he want?" I asked irritated that he came back. "He just wanted cupcakes. He also said that since you don't want him in your life anymore, he's just going to pretend he doesn't know you." Now that put a dagger in my heart. I ruined my own friendship with the one person who has always been there for me. "Dylan I need to fix this." I said getting up frantically and running towards my phone. I dialled Mitch's phone number since I deleted his contact and eagerly waited for him to pick up. After the third ring when I'd finally lost hope he picked up.
"Hello?" His voice came into my head loud and clear, "who is this speaking?" He asked.
"M-Mitch it's Kirstie." I hesitated but said it. There was a long pause before I heard a sigh. "What do you want now?" He asked clearly annoyed and frustrated. But I wouldn't blame him. "Listen, I'm sorry about what happened with Dylan. She just gets that way sometimes." I said leaning against a table. "It's ok she's right. Plus I've left you alone so I don't understand why she was freaking out at me." I nodded. I decided on one thing. I needed him back. "Mitch I was wondering if you could come back to the bakery so we can talk." I said not regretting one bit. There was again a long pause before he spoke, "sure see you soon." Before hanging up. I ran back to Dylan as she was closing up.
"Can you please put the closed sign up but don't lock the doors," I said to her, "I'm expecting someone." I than ran into the staff room and got ready. Hey just because it's Mitch doesn't mean I can't at least look a tiny bit presentable. Soon I heard voices speaking and quickly ran out before anything happened.
Mitch's POV
I still don't get why Kirstie invited me over to the bakery. Why now would she possibly want to talk to me? I walked in to find Dylan scowling at me profusely."Now what do you want?" She asked as she continued to wipe the table.
"Kirstie invited me. Plus you have nothing to do with it so just stay out." I then saw Kirstie walk out. He hair was definitely longer now and she looked gorgeous. Everything just felt surreal. It felt too much like a dream.
"Hey," she said sitting down at a table and gesturing for me to sit down. "We need to talk." She started looking me straight in the eye.
"Why now do we need to talk?" I asked confused. She sighed and looked at me dully. "Mitch, I miss you, I miss the guys, I miss the good times we used to have. I need them back. I need us back." I sat there not certain if she was telling the truth. I've known her for a long time. But I've lost some of my trust with her. She smiled and looked down at the ground, a few tears shedding.
"I need myself back."
