Chapter 5: Girl meets Smackle

Maya and Riley approached at the local ice cream shop. "Oh goody, ice cream, I love ice cream," Riley said excited. "Yeah I know, we need to cheer you up, let's go," Maya replied. "Two strawberry dipped ice creams, with nuts on top," Maya said ordering for herself and Riley. Riley tapped Maya on the shoulder. "Maya isn't that Farkle over there," she said pointing in front of her. "Yeah, that is him, let's see what he's doing here." Maya and Riley started towards Farkle until a girl approached him. "Whaaaaa," Maya and Riley said at the same time. Maya looked confused. "A girl besides us actually approached farkle," Maya said. Maya and Riley watched trying to see what they were saying. Farkle tapped the girl on her shoulder and walked away as she held her head down in dissapointment. Maya and riley looked at each other. They grabbed their ice creams and went over to the girl. She dressed identical to Farkle. She had on a red turleneck with blue jeans and big glasses. "Hi, I'm Riley." "Yo, I'm Maya, wassup with you and Freckle," Maya said. "Hi, I'm Smackle, and I just finally got the courage to ask Farkle out and he denied me, now I'm sad." Maya bust out laughing. "You like farkle?" Smackle put her head down nodded. "Well maybe you need to give him time," Riley said. "Maybe," Smackle said. "Wait you actually like Farkle," Maya asked. "Yes." Maya looked at Riley and back at Smackle. "Why?" "He's so funny, and so cute, and he's a genius, just like me we're perfect for each other." "That is disgusting," Maya said. "Maya don't be so rude," Riley said, "Can't you see she likes him as he is, now come on let's get you some ice cream, and we can talk about it," Riley said as she put her arm around Smackle. Maya smiled and started walking with them but she felt a hand grab her arm. She turned and saw Lucas. "Lucas!?" "Maya I really need to talk to you, like right now." He pulled her behind a tree. "Look, I know you like me and I like you too, a lot actually, and when I kissed you and you ran, I still felt your lips on mine, and I know you felt mine on yours, we should just date, and just tell everyone." "But what about Riley," Maya asked. "She's just gonna have to deal with it, because we're both in love with each other. Maya put her head down then looked back up at Lucas. "I don't want to hurt my best friend," Maya said as she ran towards Riley and Smackle. Lucas just stood there and got aggravated. He kicked the tree and gripped his hair and grunted. Maya reached the table were Riley and Smackle were and sat down. "Maya , we have to help Smackle." Maya looked at Riley and realized how much she loved her best friend and how she would never do anything to hurt her. "Okay," Maya said smiling.
