I stared at the blinking cursor, my fingers hovering over the keyboard. No matter how many times I reviewed my code, it refused to work. The error message mocked me, and frustration coiled in my chest.
Sighing, I decided to seek help. The online developer forum had been my last resort, but as a newbie, posting felt like exposing my weaknesses. Still, I swallowed my pride and typed out my question.
Me: "Hey everyone, I'm struggling with a recursive function in Python. It keeps returning None instead of the expected output. Any ideas? Here's my code:"
I pasted the snippet, hoping someone would respond. Minutes passed, then an hour. Just as I was about to give up, a notification popped up.
Jung-gug97: "Hey! I see the issue 👀. You're missing a return statement inside your recursive call. Try this:"
He attached a corrected version of my code, and I quickly tested it. My eyes widened when the program finally ran as expected. Relief flooded me.

Me: "OMG, it works! Thank you so much! 🙌 I was stuck for hours."Jung-gug97: "No problem! Debugging is like detective work. Gotta track down those sneaky errors. 🕵️♂️😂"
I laughed at his response. There was something easygoing about the way he helped-not condescending, not overly technical, just... fun. I glanced at his profile. "Jung-gug97" had been active in the forum for years, answering questions and posting coding challenges.
Over the next few days, I found myself engaging more in our conversations. It started with coding, but soon drifted into random topics-music, late-night caffeine addictions, even favorite childhood cartoons.
Me: "I bet you drink way too much coffee while coding. ☕😂"
Jung-gug97: "Guilty. But you can't judge unless you've stayed up past 3 AM debugging a single semicolon. 😭"
Me: "Touché. Been there, suffered that. 🤦♀️"
It was strange how natural it felt talking to him. I wasn't sure if it was just a coder's camaraderie or something more, but I started looking forward to his replies.
Little did I know, this connection was about to change my life.

I never thought an online forum would become the highlight of my day. But here I was, checking my notifications first thing in the morning, hoping to see a message from her.
Azara.
At first, it was just casual. Helping out a fellow developer, sharing some coding jokes, and ranting about frustrating bugs. But somewhere along the way, our conversations became more than just code. They became... something I looked forward to.
